The minute we arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we were asked by so many people to try the famous RAMLY BURGER. Ramly Burgers are very popular with the locals here in Malaysia and have that perfect reputation of being the best street food to hit the spot with the cheapest price tag.
We went around Bukit Bintang in search of the iconic Ramly Burger that is so very loved in Malaysia and wow, were we shocked or what? It is a culinary delight and we can say it will be our favourite street food in Malaysia.

Those days burgers not familiar with malaysians especially for muslim because all the fast food outlets from Western. Mr Ramly initially work with foreign fast food company and realised huge opportunities about that. From homemade burgers and small stall, now Ramly well known at least nationwide and neighbouring countries..

That burger looks delicious. I have to say this is the better ramly burger (RB) I've seen. The black pepper sauce is not common for RB although I have seen some other RB stalls with the same recipe. Not every RB stalls are the same in terms of quality and taste but I reckoned you guys found a good one here.

RB only provide the burgers it's up to the burger operator's to add additional things and the price will change due to the additional ingredients. Back in the early 2000 there was a famous burger stall operating in Kuala Terengganu Terengganu. The burger additional ingredients was beans, corn etc and the price per burger can go up to RM 10 about back then. So if you goes into different state in Malaysia you will find varieties of RB specialities some are rare and you need to really asked the local.

One of Malaysia's signature desserts you should try - Cendol. Depends where you go (similar to Ramly Burger), the styles are different with variety of "add-ons". Cendol is like century old, the original recipe consists of Gula Melaka (dark sugary syrup, a palm sugar from Melaka), small green jelly made from Pandanus leaves (fragrant leaves) in shaved ice. Through the years, add-ons were introduced like red beans, peanuts, fruits and so on. Remember the right way to eat it is to make sure the dark palm sugar (Gula Melaka) is completely mixed with shaved ice, if it's not properly mixed, you won't taste the Gula Melaka flavor. A cheap dessert and must try.

Most Malaysians have a pack of Ramly burger patties in their freezers. My family & I have it as a quick meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Super yummy & satisfying. If I buy from the stand, I always order with less sauce.

Most of the Ramly Burger taste almost the same ... as they have their supply of sauces, bun and patties from almost homogenous suppliers and brand. Some Night Market burger may taste different as their supplies varies and ingredient differs to cut cost to be sold at a cheaper price. The burgerman ... most of them have been selling their burgers for a while (few months to years), they normally perfected their skills, ingredients on jobs. For burger stalls, cost is not really a determining factors as their taste is more critical and most of them have regular or repeat customers (40-60% or more) ... which is critical in the business. (Like the 2 policemen in the video ... surely, they are repeat customers)

One thing to keep in my mind when trying Ramly burger, its a processed frozen patty not fresh one, its cheap & you can get it everywhere in the middle of night I know some country have a better burger but Ramly burger is really a cheap meal that most Malaysian can afford But niwadays the price are getting a lot pricier, even pricier than burger meal on promotion at other fast food chain tho🤔

Go see the 2nd Tallest Tower in the World! It is just in Chinatown and will give you massive bragging rights with all the awesome food that is around the area.

Now..this burger became national dish..and it happen accidently 20 years ago when some eropean tried this dish..and they asked what name of this very weird burger . they never saw this style of burger in other place ....and the cook said just burger, ..but there is brand sign..RAMLY BURGER..(there are many brands actually but ramly was the first intoduced this burger back 1970)

U need to try Otai Burger. The patty is slightly thicker than Ramly. The special thing about Otai Burger is the bun. IMHO more fluffy and slightly bigger. But the problem is there are not many stalls. Its a franchise

Ramly Burger is the brand name of burger patties. It's Malaysia's iconic burger pattie brand. A thousand streetside burger sellers in KL can grill/cook the patties differently. And thousands more such sellers all over Malaysia😁

I really love Ramly Burgers that has the patties dipped in a special sauce. These types of burgers are actually called "Burger Celup" which actually means dipped burger. Also if you're interested in trying a Fried Chicken burger, you can try Lan Burger Chicken Crispy at Setapak just outside of the city centre which is one of the best that I've tried!

What's really good about Ramly's burger is that you can ask the vendor to customize it according to your preference, unlike franchised outlets.. Next time look out for other exotic burger ie. wagyu, deer or rabbit..

@@sunkissedbucketlist Enjoy your stay guys, i'll be watching 🤓BTW, for roti canai, I would highly recommend you go for the one at Selangor Mansion. Ask for roti canai banjir(flood) - meaning the roti is literally flooded in a pool of gravy - yumm! Just don't get too excited about the "Mansion". It's actually a block of very old flats lol... Take the LRT (either Ampang or Kelana Jaya line) and alight at Masjid Jamek station. The place is a short few minutes stroll away. Google maps should be able to take you there in under 5 minutes unless... it cheated and take you on a longer route hahah...Cheers!
