Bring back the news setting and talking about movies and news. I miss it soooo much. I’ve lose touch on the movie side and it’s news because PMI went away and all of its sets
Y'all are on fire in this one. It's so crazy how the producers didn't want to show Buford shooting anyone dead because he would be too evil, fully forgetting the attempted rape as early back as the first movie.
This track is full of some of the best jokes I’ve ever heard on the channel. “We gotta talk about your son, Mary!” “What’s polio?” “Your kids are gonna _love_ it...”
One of the neat things I didn’t notice until one of my recent rewatchs is that Clayton Ravine is renamed to Eastwood Ravine when Marty gets back to 1985. So in a way the joke at 12:16 is actually what happened.
there were major outbreaks of cholera throughout the 19th century (like you said, shit was everywhere, including in water supplies), so actually drinking water probably wasn't that common unless the water was first boiled. untreated water also causes hepatitis, salmonella, shigella, campylobacter, and cryptosporidium poisoning, and water treatment wasn't pervasive (yet); primitive slow sand filters were just becoming popular in the 1890s.
since beers and wine didn't translate over from Europe to the Americas that well (considering America didn't have very much Mediterranean--like climates to grow grapes; hops are very sensitive, demanding distinct growing conditions), spirits and cocktails were the natural solution throughout the country.
People don't realize how underrated back to the future part 3 is. It's actually much better than part 2. It's also shot much better too. The western setting is done justice and the form is improved because of it
I think most people's issue w/ part 3 is that it's more of a western & romance than a time travel movie. This is also my least favorite, but I agree that it's underrated.
@@jp3813 as a kid part 2 was my favorite but as an adult and someone who learned to love the western genre and the classic films that defined it, I think part 3 is an excellent homage to the past. Plus part 2 is still fun but it's lacking in inspiration and it not directed nearly as well as the other two films.
@@highwind1991 It seems like part 2 is everyone's favorite as a kid, but now I put it at 2nd place. IIRC, in the DVD commentary, Robert Zemeckis names it as one of his favorites from his filmography as well due to the sheer amount of imagination & creativity that they pulled off.
I heard Jake say the first line and was like "what the..?" And then heard Mike and legit sat up, I don't know why this hit so hard but it was truly great to hear all three of you together again. This is literally the first commentary track I'm buying from you guys and it's just so I can enjoy you guys talking again for a couple hours...
they did actually name the ravine after marty. in the movie marty says his name is clint eastwood, and when he appears on the tracks at the end, he passes a sign that reads "eastwood ravine". it's things like that and the twin/lone pine mall from the first one that gets me.
Man, this PMI vid is one of the funniest in ages, had me dying haha Idk why but "Martimus McFly" 3:09 came out of nowhere and killed me I've only been a PMI fan for the past few years, love all the stuff, but there's a bunch of old vids I've never seen, I'd love to be able to go back and watch them, can we get them back up sometime? 🙏🙏🙏 Even if only for a short while 🥺🥺🥺
The Back To The Future trilogy is probably my favorite set of movies, just because how ridiculous and fun they are. Seeing you guys finally wrap up the third one really made the start of my year :)
I was so worried the highlight video would miss the pointing at the end, and Eric starting the outro spiel made me think that was the case, BUT THEN THEY DID IT, THE MADMEN
i’ve been tossing up getting the full tracks for a while but this one has genuinely sold me i love the back to the future movies a lot and this one was so funny and would feel like watching it with friends
This is one of my most favorite recent tracks. I’ve really missed you goons. You guys were such a huge part of my life since the announced the FIRST Spider-Man reboot. I have missed you guys so much.
I love how connected all these movies are. The reason the gun salesman says even a baby could use the gun is because the kid calls the arcade game in 2 a baby's toy and Marty gets the idea to use the metal to protect him in the duel is stolen when he sees the Clint Eastwood movie on the TV in 2 as well. There's hundreds of these connections through the trilogy, really is the best time travel series of movies.
In Burbank where a bunch of scenes were filmed and then I moved but nowI live in the town where the final train scene takes place . I see it daily it made my love for this trilogy all the better
I actually saw this one before I saw either of the first two. As a kid I was always super confused in the beginning, but quickly stopped thinking about it as soon as cowboy stuff showed up lol.
Fun Fact: Buford Tannen's son only appeared once in a comic and was visually designed after Biff. He later married Gertrude Tannen, Biff's Grandmother (who was also voiced by Biff in Back to the Future 2). Their child, Kid Tannen, a notorious Mafia Boss and Biff's father, also resembles a young Biff in the Telltale game. Lastly, Buford Tannen's grandfather ALSO looks like Biff. I conclude: Every single relative of Biff Tannen, INCLUDING his grandmother, is a "Biff" Have fun with that mental image.
Watching these movies back I always wonder if there's more than one delorean. Cause they went to the past in the 1st movie and they go back to the past in the 2nd movie and they realize that their otherselves are still there and Doc sees the delorean from when they went back the first time. So technically whenever they go back to 1955 on that exact day there will always be more than one delorean. I don't know it's a weird time travel thing.
