@poloreacts27 This song HAS become boring. THIS is how I imagine Newton felt when he wrote it. Seaman during the slave trader era who worked on slave ships...who had an encounter with God and renounced his former ways. Can you imagine the shame he felt being part of that industry, and the wonder of embracing a different life? Nothing neutral about that. Pure emotion. Dan's interpretation speaks to the heart of the song's author. Among the top renditions in my book too.

You need to watch the video that he does of American Trilogy that was originally done by Elvis. His Father was a big Elvis Fan. Dan did it in tribute to his Dad that passed 5 days before. Very emotional ! Also Gethsemane.

Dan’s father passed away four or five years ago. Amazing Grace was his father’s favorite hymn and his father gave him the harmonica when he was a child. Dan released this video just before Easter.

Goosebumps over and over again. Dan Vasc is a metal musician of the highest order. The variety of his voices is sometimes unbelievable. Simply great. Dan's band is called "FEARLESS" and consists of his brother Davi, and two friends Gabriel and Giovanni. They have an album, "Chronicles Of Ancient Wisdom" which is available for purchase through his website and is also on his channel. Dan has colabs with other performers including Violet Orlandi, Alina Lesnik, and Eric Gromwall, lead singer of H.E.A.T. and Skidrow. There is also the duet "Dawn Of Victory" that Dan has done with Fabio Leone from Rhapsody of Fire. If you go to his channel, you will find over 240 videos of covers he has done over the last 13 or so years. He is an incredible musician with an enviable vocal range that he has mastered through dedicated training and discipline. It is a rabbit hole well worth the journey down... 😊 🙃🐨🇦🇺

I'm an 80 yr old lady who does not particularly like metal, I thought i hope he doesn't ruin this beautiful hymn ... well, this is the BEST rendition I've ever heard. I have checked out a few others, Angels We Have Heard on High (in 4 languages) Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar, Adeste Fideles, more ..Amazing God given talent. Great review. You will get a lot of new subscribers by reviewing Dan’s songs. He covers so many genres. You don’t need to blur his videos. He has given permission for them to be used. His visuals are half the fun. My personal favorites are Scarborough Fair (acoustical folk song), I’ll Make a Man Out of You (Disney, Mulan movie). You didn’t know it needed a metal touch until you hear it. Sound of Silence, he covers Disturbed’s version. One Man Choir…Handel’s Hallelujah. He sings all the parts. 24 little Dan faces singing away. So many more. Have fun.

It doesn't matter how many times I hear Dan Vasc sing this song, it gives me the chills all over. I love how absolutely tender, raw & delicate he started the song even with the slight echo & with each verse exposing more talent & intensity. Dan Vasc has a God given talent that he has perfected over years of hard work into what it is today, devine & magnificent!!! He sang this song the way it was MEANT to be sung with such RESPECT, emotion & with a POWERFUL impact. I FELT the presence of GOD!!! This is the absolute very BEST version of 'Amazing Grace' that I've EVER heard in my ENTIRE life & I'm old (LOL). God BLESS Dan Vasc for sharing his wonderful talent & this video with the world! I'm a PK (Preacher's Kid) and have heard this performed, and performed it thousands of times throughout my 55 years. Dan ABSOLUTELY 💯 has the best rendition EVER! (Imho) He absolutely blows everyone else out of the park. I've listened to this since 3 weeks after he released it. Multiple times a day and it still gives me chills and moves me to tears. I truly believe that God ordained/inspired Dan to do this song "for such a time as this". When our world is in turmoil and more divided than ever. People are looking for hope and meaning, and nothing gives TRUE hope and meaning like God's amazing grace!! I feel like all of Heaven stood still when Dan performed this. Yes, he did jump up an entire octave on 3rd verse. Not to mention the 2 other higher key changes he did later. He's done opera and speaks 5 + languages.. He does all his arrangements and filming. He's Brazilian. His complete last name is Vasconcelos. He has a band (Fearless) that includes his brother.. BYW no filters needed. All his catalog of over 200 songs are not copyrighted. Try I'll Make a Man Out of You and Angels We Have Heard on High, sung in 4 languages. Also recorded himself into a choir for Handel's Hallelujah Chorus.

Yes. His voice gives the song the audible power it deserves. When one understands the meaning of the song, it becomes less boring. It was written by a man who tragically lost his entire family and was given the supernatural gift of eternal Peace from God. This video was released on Good Friday 2023. Dan (from what I have read) is a Christian man. This Hymn is very special to me as a Christian and as a recovering alcoholic in AA. "Amazing Grace" is an unofficial anthem for people in recovery whether we are religious or not. The use of the harmonica (reportedly a gift from his late dad when he was a child) gives the Hymn a Celtic feel. If you have ever been to an Irish/American funeral it is usually played on bagpipes outside of a Catholic Church. I live down the block from one of these beautiful Churches, so I hear the bagpipes now and again. Great reaction!!!

Hi Polo, I dissagree with you. That was tHE BEST version of Amazing grace I have ever heard. This song meant something to Dan ,It was his fathers favorite song he sang at his fathers funeral. So he felt this in his soul. It also was my mothers favorite song I had played at her funeral.I wish I had Dans version back then she would have felt this from heaven.
