Joey, this song was written by Freddie about Mary Austin, the love of his life, former live-in girlfriend and fiancee. When their romance collapsed after he told her that he believed he was bisexual, their bond survived. He bought her a home within walking distance from his; they were there for each other, year after year. He trusted her as no one else. He referred to her in the press as his common-law wife. He had many lovers; he was in a loving relationship with Jim Hutton the last seven years. But in the final analysis, Mary was his soulmate. They never really stopped loving each other. By Freddie's own public words, their bond was unreachable. He left her the bulk of his fortune, and his walled London estate, Garden Lodge. She lives quietly there still, surrounded by furniture and art that Freddie picked out.

@@lethalweapon4052 the thing is, nobody really knows that for absolutely 100% certain; his mother and sister may have known, but helped Mary keep her word to Freddie by helping her keep the secret. Then again, maybe not. The only ones who truly know for sure are Mary and Kashmira (Freddie's younger sister). Besides, anybody looking for Freddie needs to turn on a record, video on RU-vid, or CD. In his music is where you'll find him. 🙂😉

Freddie was just one of the greatest performers to ever grace a stage. He had that charisma that just got people to react the way they did. And he fed off that. He was also a perfectionist. He gave every performance everything he had. I think, not for sure, but I think this was Freddie’s last tour with Queen. By then I think he was feeling the effects of Aides. Although he wasn’t diagnosed until, I believe, April of 87. He said he just couldn’t do it any longer. When he died the world lost a very unique, very talented individual that will never be repIaced still love you Freddie, I always will.

I'd be willing to bet a LOT that Freddie's ashes have long blown away in the wind and/or are in the courtyard of his Lindon home. I would not be at all surprised if he asked Mary to spread his ashes in his beloved gardens and some probably blew in the wind. As someone said earlier, the way to find Freddie is through his music. He would not have wanted people hovering and crying at a grave. He would have wanted people to play and play with his music. He once said: "Play my songs, just don't make them boring.". It always seemed the thing that he hated or worried about the most was being boring. He would have wanted people to celebrate his life rather than mourn his death. Probably part of why he didn't say anything about being sick or dying until the day before he died. He didn't want sympathy. He wanted joy and music. And to give that to us. Also, having grown up during that time, I can not imagine Freddie wanting to be "stuck" or "buried" in one place. He was so active and such a free spirit. I can only guess that he would have wanted his ashes spread rather than buried. I like to think of him and Queen actually everywhere WITH me when I play their music. So, perhaps this is my own selfish thought. But it seems to make sense.....he was quiet and private yet roudy and exciting. He was fun and loved the crowd. So I like to think he is spread out here with all of us when we need his music the most. ❤ ❤

He's truly immortal; God only gives us a few. He had the audience in the palm of his hand. I enjoy your channel as well 😊❤

Without a doubt, the greatest love song of all time. Freddie was the greatest, and there will never be another.Love your videos Joey and you should react to the cover of this song by the Scorpions.

Want to get a crowd of thousands singing together, play Queen. Green Day released a Video from before their concert in Hyde Park from 2017 where they just had music playing as they were getting ready and the whole crowd sings Bohemian Rhapsody.
