Love this film. I was young when I first saw it The deer coming back to life has always touched me deep in my soul. Compassion is something we are in short supply of these days. And unconditional love too Keep being awesome you two Much love from the maritimes
"Okay?" "Okay? Are you crazy? You almost got us killed! You said you watched me, you said you knew the rules!" "I do know the rules." "Oh, for your information pal, that was a YELLOW light back there!" "I watched you very carefully. Red light stop, green light go, yellow light go very fast." Karen Allen in panties! 😍 Fun Fact: Jeff Bridges hired a dancer to help him with Starman's naïve movements. Automobile Enthusiast Fact: The vintage hotrod seen briefly in a car chase with the cops was a black 1930s Ford V8 Roadster Hot Rod. Location Location Fact: The rendezvous crater location where the Starman (Jeff Bridges) was to meet and return to the mother ship is a place situated just outside of Winslow, Arizona. According to National Geographic, the site is one mile wide, 570 feet deep, and about 49,000 years old. Movie Magic Fact: When Jeff Bridges walks outside the house naked and uses a 'marble' his hair seems to stand on end. This effect was actually created by shooting Bridges hanging upside-down and then matting the shot onto the background the right way up to give him a surreal look. Ornithology Fact: Actor Jeff Bridges studied ornithology and the behavior of birds to prepare for his role as an alien in human form for this movie. Bridges particularly used the sudden jerky head movements, amongst other nuances and mannerisms, of birds for his Starman character. Bridges figured that the alien would not have human characteristics and, being encased in a human body, would act with base primitive animal instincts.
Thanks for watching this. There was an 11 month tv series (1986-1987) of the same name based on this movie starring Robert Hays (of Airplane movie comedy fame) as the starman and Michael Cavanaugh as agent Fox the same actor who played the chasing govt agent man in the movie). Takes place when the starman visits his son who is a teenager now. Very good show.
Scared of a remake. The acting was so pure and simple. They'd recast it with terrible people who look good but no chemistry or innocence. I just watched it in full even though it's 40 years later....and I loved it!
I’m glad I found your channel! I wish you had more but I’m sure you’ll get there. I love Jenna’s soft spoken voice and Ashley’s knowledge of movies and both of you are very funny! If I can suggest of movie that I know you two would like is The Thirteenth Floor
… saw you reacted to “Starman” so I subscribed to your channel. 🖖🏿 … loved the “Boyz N Hood”, “Menace II Society”, “Dead Presidents” reactions. When are you going to start the Spike Lee and Oliver Stone movies? …. recommend “She’s Gotta Have It”; “School Dayz”; “Jungle Fever”; and “Bamboozled” by Spike Lee. … “Platoon”; “Wallstreet”; “Born On The 4th Of July”; and “JFK” by Oliver Stone.
Girl on the left, who apparently likes to make fun of movies made by previous generations for whatever reason, not realizing that the sex scene is awkward on purpose...
@@SCharlesDennicon lol I wasn’t making fun of the movie as a whole, most sex scenes are awkward to the both of us in general. I still highly praised the movie in the end. Has nothing to do with what generation it was from.
Just tried your site today second time (planet apes first), cool you try some movies untried by most reactors. Have you seen ' Citizen X' true story of serial killer in Russia. You mention like crime movies. 'Primal Fear' is another good watch.
I don’t personally feel like we were nit-picky. We are giving commentary, but we did ultimately love this movie. I respect your opinion though and duly noted ✍️
was disappointed by your reactions to the love making scene. He had never been a human man before, let alone been intimate. I found it beautiful, not funny.
