Fun fact, the creator of The Boys comic books made the series with Simon Pegg as main actor in mind. But by the time they went and made the TV series Simon Pegg was a little older than they wanted so they just had him play Hughie's dad.

I love Butcher's British accent. The only other things I've seen Karl Urban in were that Doom movie with the Rock in it and then the Thor movies. Could be more but those were from the top of my head.

he was amazing in Dredd although it's a bit harder to notice it's him since he wears the helmet the whole movie, which was great on his part, most actors who are supposed to wear a costume with a mask like spiderman always take their masks off in the movies and it's really annoying when they have a secret identity

The Boys is part of the cultural movement that started with Watchmen where people thought the most wildly subversive thing imaginable was superheroes being hyperviolent. Only problem is no one told the makers of The Boys, Jupiter's Legacy, and Invincible, that it was shocking when Watchmen did it in 2009, but offered diminishing returns ever since. What if superheroes, but gorey? Shrug.
