I saw Arnold in an interview sitting in a make-up chair, being made up for a scene in which the terminator's face was already badly damaged. He told the interviewer, "My basic problem in movies is that I'm too handsome, so they always have to use make-up to tone it down."
You should look into how the Terminator series and the Matrix trilogy is all tied in together...created by the same women Sofia Stewart...brief summary ....Sarah Conner is Neos mother ...John Conner is suppose to represent (JC)Jesus Christ...Kyle Reese is from the future and gets Sarah pregnant ...bascially The Terminator is the past and the Matrix is the future...very interesting if you have tome to look it up
1. Linda Hamilton ROCKED. She's really built in T2. "Terminator 2 Judgement Day" is the action movie GOAT. 2. Along with Lance Henriksen/Vukovich, Michael Biehn/Reese and Bill Paxton/punk also played in "Aliens" as Bishop, Hicks and Hudson respectively. 3.We have limited AI now. So does China.😱 4. If this wasn't a movie the ammunition would not have been available on the gun shop counter. 5. Ginger's boyfriend Matt must be a lousy lay if she needs rock and roll to "rock and roll".🙄 6. Watching people react to the eye operation is worth watching this all by itself. 7. THAT'S a bitch slap.
Now that is key points.. oh an man the 3rd is kind of a spook ngl. But then luckily like some middle east leader in the 00s wanted and bought a bunch of ps2 consoles to build a super computer to then I mean... do some sort of takeover the world thing... but idk I mean lol humorous that it then was just a mass amount of videogames he had... or inexpensjve dvd players XD
Arnold was filming Conan at that time and one morning he showed up on the CONAN set with the Terminator Boots on...When asked about the boots, He said that it was for some shit movie he was also starring in
Hi, I've just discovered your channel and i've subscribed. It's awesome you've seen this sci-fi classic, it's one of the GOAT movies! I can't wait to watch your reaction to it's incredible sequel Terminator 2. Please react to it asap. Other movies I highly recommend you react to are WWII aerial action films Memphis Belle (1990) & Red Tails (2012)
At the end of the story . . . All those co-workers at Big Buns restaurant are guessing as to what their Sarah has been up to in just that one night - - - 2 gals named Sarah murdered 2 dead in her apartment 30 cops dead in that Police Substation Sarah's mother murdered 1 pickup truck and 1 motorcycle, both wrecked 1 Body left dead on the freeway One 18 wheeler gas tanker truck burning 1 body and 1 squished robot found in a machine shop YUP . . . Our Sarah really knows how to have a good time ! 🤔🤨🤥🤕🥴😵😵💫
Wait until T2. Best of the entire franchise, in my humble opinion. In T2 you'll see a major transformation of Sarah Connor from fairly useless waitress to a female action hero. To me second only to Sigourney Weaver as Ripley from Alien franchise as female action hero role model in modern cinema. Because Hollywood didn't write much for women back then as their own entity and hero without needing a man to save them.
I'm glad you've already decided to watch T2, the absolute highlight in this franchise, because especially after your reaction to this classic, it would be unfortunate to miss your reaction to the sequel. Good work by the way, as a reactor you were ok before, but you are evolving, you seemed much more confident here than before and also had a good idea with this team watching, also the intro is well done and shows that this channel is on a good path.
@@HabitualCinema You seem to have missed the explanation at the very beginning. When there's writing on the screen, I would suggest pausing the movie while you read it. Otherwise, you may not get the full impact. Also, when you know spoilers (such as the scene in the second movie that you mentioned), you shouldn't spoil Jenna. Otherwise, good reaction.
The Terminator is possibly the greatest "B-movie" ever made. By that i mean, it is the greatest low-budget sci-fi ever produced. The Terminator is a great inspiration for future filmmakers. Cameron showed us what can be possible on a small budget and its freaking amazing. T2 on the other hand is the greatest action movie ever made. Cameron showed us whats possible once youve established yourself in the industry. And its freaking phenomenal. I just wish we could get a new 5.1 remix for The Terminator. The .45 longslide should sound like a freaking cannon. The audience should be just as shocked and stunned by that weapon as the 35 year old Sarah Connors neighbors after the Terminator blew her head off. Theres an interesting deleted scene revealing the aftermath where Sarah Connors neighbors are running around in complete panic mode. But the newest 5.1 remix makes all of these bad**s weapons sound like squeaky toys, including the shotguns. You cant feel anything from a sound effect like that.
Just FYI on Terminator 2 - There are 3 versions: Theatrical Cut (137 min.) Special Edition (153 min.) Ultimate Cut (156 min.). I personally like the Special Edition and so does Arny. 😉 Up to you, of course, but the Ultimate does kinda ruin something (can't say without spoiling). After your done watching I'd also recommend looking at a little of the trivia. You might enjoy it finding out some of the details that went in to making it.
We are definitely not mocking. We absolutely loved this movie and are meeting tomorrow to watch T2 but I understand we won’t be for everyone. Sorry you feel that way.
Thank you for your reaction. It was like watching the movie through two pair of eyes that weren't mine. Terminator was crushed by mission failure even though at the end Terminator had no skin in the game.
26:22 Seat Belts became California law January 1, 1986. Also, California's statewide (911) system initially launched in 1972, but wasn't fully completed until 1985.
Stealth sequences are ***rare*** to see in movies because most of the time it feels too fake or like it's delaying time until the character is "caught" & eventually chased. But Kyle sneaking through the shopping outlet, stealing some Sneakers & a coat, hiding from the cops; parkouring his way down to ground level, stealing a second weapon & walking away casually to find a phone book is one of the better depictions of Stealth ever presented on film, lol :3 Plus he does it naturally since he's spent his life hiding from robots.
The Terminator and the sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (one of the best sequels in cinematic history, and even better than the original, in my opinion) certainly hold up very well in this day and age. In fact, they are even more relevant nowadays with the emergence and rapid development of artificial intelligence; Sky Net and the dawn of malicious machines are right around the corner!
Bill Paxton was in 4 James Cameron movies: "The Terminator", "Aliens", "True Lies", and "Titanic". Michael Biehn was in 4 James Cameron movies: "The Terminator", "Aliens", "Terminator 2 Extended Edition", and "The Abyss". Both were in "Tombstone" Lance Hendrickson was in both "The Terminator" and "Aliens".
25:02 In the future dogs aren’t just pets. They are considered fellow soldiers in the war for survival against the machines. Through their heightened sense and empathy dogs can tell a terminator from a human. In the novel for this movie, Reese fed a stray dog most of his first slice of pizza to honor the code.
Good point about Sarah not giving John his father’s last name. An in-universal explanation would be that to give him the name “Reece” would cause a lot of angst in the future when Kyle gets sent back in time.
Loved your reactions to this flick. You two ought to check out Terminator 2: Judgement Day, widely considered to be one of the greatest sequels of all time! Sarah really comes into her own in part 2, bumped up to Legendary status. Technically, Kyle was born 3 years after Judgement Day 😄
Hello 👋🏾...You Two have the absolute best reaction videos, not too much talking & not complaining & looking for thing's to attack also understanding different eras of time are always going to have different representation...Absolutely live you two...❤❤❤❤
I always think the guy who gets his heart ripped out at the beginning looks like the singer Brian Adams, who had a hit called "Straight to the Heart" no less.
The reason this movie acknowledges the works of Harlan Ellis was actually added to the movie when it was released on VHS. Long story short, when Harlan Ellis saw the movie, he did a plagiarism lawsuit against James Cameron. Cameron wanted to fight it, but the studio said that if he did, he was on his own. As this was his first movie, he didn't have the money he does today (heck, the opening sequence of Terminator 2 cost more than the entire first movie even after adjustment for inflation) he was forced to let the studio settle, and the 'acknowledgement' was what they agreed to. All in all, they have both involve a solider in a future war that travels back in time... James Cameron to this day HATES Ellis and that the studio forced him to acknowledge him like that (most people who know of him Hate Ellis He was a brilliant writer, but a terrible person especially after how he treated the female presenter at the Hugo Awards in 2006.) because if he'd had the money to fight the accusation, he absolutely would have won the lawsuit, but he just couldn't take the risk.
@ragabashmoon1551: It's Harlan EllisON, NOT Ellis. No, it was BEFORE the movie was even released that Ellison got wind of the production and what the story was, and threatened to sue. The "Acknowledgement to the works of Harland Ellison" WAS in the original theatrical release. Sure, respect to Harlan Ellison for his writing skill, BUT - he was a REAL asshole about this. While James Cameron may have SLIGHTLY been influenced by reading "Soldier Out of Time" ( Harlan Ellison's short story, ) or seeing "The Outer Limits" episode "Soldier" ( adapted by Ellison himself from "Soldier Out of Time" ) - the basis of Ellison's threatened lawsuit - it makes MORE sense that he had been influenced by a combination of brilliant movies - 1) 'Westworld' [ 1973, written AND directed by famed screenwriter/director/book author ( who also did the movie book version of 'Westworld' ) Michael Crichton ( of "The Andromeda Strain," "Jurrasic Park," ect. fame, ) and featuring a seemingly unstoppable android killer ( "The Gunslinger" - played by Yul Brynner; ) ] AND 2) 'Colossus: The Forbin Project' ( 1970 ) - featuring an AI that becomes self-aware, joins with another ( but from a rival country ) AI, and takes over the whole world ( based on the first of a set of three books by author D.F. Jones. )
there's about 7 movies in the franchise but all of them after 2 are really derivative until the most recent one, Terminator Dark Fate. that's the only other one worth watching. it doesn'y just have all the effects & stunts but it advances the narrative in a new direction.
