Ride with us as Holly helped me navigate into Oshkosh while watching for traffic using the Fisk arrival. The controllers at Fisk turned several people around that wasn’t in line over the railroad tracks.
Awesome video bro. Loved seeing the entire sequence of events. Most Osh arrival videos show only the hectic/frantic compliance and instructions and portray it always as a super difficult arrival. Thanx for showing the entire arrival.
Thanks Man! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was worried it was too long. I cut about 15 minutes or so off the beginning when we was merging into the line, that was kind of hectic as well. I was hoping people wouldn’t get bored with it.
Might want to consider adding shoulder harness' to your Citabria. I added STC Hooker 4-point harness to my 1975 7ECA. Relatively cheap investment for a big safety improvement.
Thanks a lot! I’m glad it showed because I definitely studied and did my homework. I couldn’t agree more, it was very obvious who did and did not have a clue what to do. Just in my short video, there are several not following procedures.
Listening to the arrival frequency and watching ADS-B tracking online, there was some pretty sketching flying going on. One guy was unresponsive on the radio and was flying backwards (!) along the railroad track approach. Controllers were going nuts trying to ward him off. @@bwbassman66
90. But the GoPro was giving ground speed, we had some tailwind. I was going a little faster because I had some high speed planes behind me that I knew was having trouble going slower.
