Our friend Pinto was nice enough to let us try the Ozone Zero so we thought we'd share our thoughts on it. Now I want one! :D
All in all, for our style of flying I think it really suits us better being an "in-between size" especially since we get quite a few days here at the coast which are just a little too strong for full size wings.

Get one! I have a Zero 17 and a Zero 19. Originally I’d arrive at my local soaring site and be disappointed if it was too strong for my big wing, now I’m straight onto the Zeros and love it. So fast, so dynamic, so much fun. A big wing is like a family sedan and the mini wings are like go karts. Having both opens up so many more flyable days. You won’t regret it, just get one!

Love mini wings! I have a Uturn Trinity 18m. It was designed for strong wind soaring, hike & fly, and ground handling. It has good trim speed, very dynamic, light, durable, good weight range, can do good ground spins, don't even need the A's to launch, and it's a lot of fun!

Nice to see you on a miniwing! Miniwings are so much fun! I think I have mostly flown my 10m2 last year. Shortly I’ve switched to the Moustache which is actually a speedwing and miniwing in one. Even more options.. 😅

I have a 15m Zero in the same colors :) Regardless of age, it's a pig coming up with the trimmers full in. Give it half an inch of trims out and it behaves itself better.

I’ve not flown a zero but my little cloud hangs back because it’s safer in strong conditions to launch.

You should try lifting the wing with more trimmers so A s are shorter than ds .. we do this on paramotor mini wings and it jumps right up

Possible that it hangs back more due to the low aspect ratio? I've always wanted to free fly my 16m ppg wing.

Maybe but I have a Firefly3 18m and with enough wind to kite it, it just shoots up and it has a lower aspect ratio (I think, based on the look). My guess is that they are right that it is a bit out of tune.

Yeah I think that if a wing is jumpy off the ground or lazy and hangs back is more to do with line trim (having the A's shorter or longer for instance) rather than aspect ratio. Gemma's Geo or the RoadRunner are very low aspect ratio and jump off the ground and all the way overhead very fast!

Is that an Ozone-Oxygen harness ? Never flown a mini-wing, but used to have great fun on an 'AEROS-Ballistic' 14m which was partnered with a 'skydive' type harness complete with mini-3-Ring-Circus connection for the risers...for all us ex-skydivers that like to be more upright and less 'La-Z-Boy' ;-) Was a great rig in the mountains, on snow with skis....wish I'd never sold it...hey, ho.

It's very easy to dismiss mini wings as impractical, because you wont take off in stronger conditions- but once you try it, it's a Pandora's box... Tried 18m once and still regret buying a normal wing😁
