Haha the first thing I thought of when I learned of concertina bags is concertina wire, a nasty war time thing. I had no clue that their name originally was from a musical instrument. That's a much more positive association I have to say.
Thank you very much! Just bought my first wing and was wondering how to properly pack it up. You guys gave me all the answers for the questions I had. Legends! :)
Chuck Norris leaves the sails down and leaves the fenders while leaving a dock ....Sam; lift the sails, remove those fenders, it's all good. Chuck norris is physical strength, Sam Holmes is Neptune re-born 🤣
Happy to help fund your projects, not too sure about patreon. Would you be happy to sell your design and I'll pay through PayPal? Want to make one myself. Thanks 👍
There seem to be 2 opinions on this, one is that a person should only ground handle their flying wing and the other is you should get a ground handling wing to practice. I understand the first idea, yes you need to be very familiar with the wing you want to fly, but there are so many days when you can't practice with your flying wing because it's too windy and the other thing is you don't beat up your main wing by doing a lot of ground handling. It's not like you're going to forget how to fly your big wing if you practice with a small one.
Thanks for a good tutorial! Others don't quite explain it in this detail, I suppose it's harder to understand what a beginner doesn't know. I don't have the long bag (I have ozone buzz z3 small) but it still is a very helpful method to me
Hi Andre, I’m part of a University rocketry team who competes at Spaceport America Cup in the United States. As the recovery lead, I’m trying to develop a gps guided parachute system from scratch. One component of that is manufacturing our own paraglider. Do you have any resources for the parachute, including anything from sewing, the materials, or the different gores.
Let me know if you decide to build another wing someday. I think I could probably cut the panels for you with my laser cutter. You might have your own machine by now though. Incredible work here and on your other projects. Very inspirational.
Our final project was to create a 3D model of a industrial circular knitting machine. Thanks to this video I understand the knitting process. Thank you!
The background situation assessment and Action/Friction/Doubt diagrams are really cool. Do they have a book on risk/fear/mental clarity & decision making?
I took off a few days ago. I checked my lines (except my speedbar I didn’t check properly). After take off, instead of going straight, I completely lost control of the glider, which went down and to the right. I hit a tree (badly). At first I thought it’s the speedbar connections.. I now think it could be the wind (changee direction)… but I am not 100% sure.
It’s in euros but shouldn’t make much difference as our payments are handled by stripe and they accept all major cards and currencies I think andrebandarra.com/shop/pcmini
This is great!! Thank you so much for your insight. Very well explained for beginners as myself. Excited to hear more about the game/app module. Thanks RICARDO.!! 🙏🏼
OMG, that is insane! I can't believe you got it all back together, that is quite an accomplishment! Can you tell me where that gear is located at 01:09 ? It is so close up I can't tell where it is on the machine.
A long time ago I took my youngest son Jack out to fly a kite. He got so frustrated while hoping to see me fly it while getting to learn how himself too. Well at least we tried when we had the chance to.
I love ground handling, especially in stronger wind... it's great exercise. After a while you get to read what the canopy is doing through the harness and you begin to react by instinct as it changes its attitudes. Your instruction is awesome....love your videos
Lol I don't know why but just seeing Gemma again for the first time in a while I can't help but remember that time she got pinned up real high at that cool beach you used to always go and fly. What a boss she was that day not even panicking and just enjoying the view! Not too many videos of you guys just chilling and flying lately. How about it?
