@@Briley-gc8wn To a point they are recognizable among the thousands of other bubble shaped cars. However, the Caddys of the 60s and 1970s were *unique*.
@@Rich-fr2yvdont matter the old styling will always beat the modern cars, everything looks a bean now, in the future we about to have polygons with the tesla cybertruck in that department, compared to the past where designers used lines and smooth curves to make beautiful silhouette designs. Manufactures now should start making retro inspired sports cars, that has 70s-90s design with modern day features. The only real cars who have done this is mustang, corvette, charger/challenger and porsche. Imagine if bmw reimagined the e30 with modern features, upgraded motor, led headlights. They could be making good money off people who want nostalgia.
1967-1970 Cadillac Eldorado, to me, one of the most Beautiful cars ever made. My Ex-father in law had one in beige with cigar brown leather interior. I had a 61’ Corvette at that time but Loved to drive the Caddy!!!
не))) фольцваген лучше а это одноразовая машина))) так скажут любители фольцваген но только они походу не знаю что когда GM делали крутые автомобили то фольц делал консервы))))
There’s nothing like an old Cadillac. I was born in March 1956, my dad drove mom and me home from the hospital in a new ‘56 Caddy. Dad had Caddies throughout his life. I’ve owned Coupé de Villes, and my last Caddy was a triple black 1985 El Dorado. Best looking Caddy El Dorado ever.
@@richardswann5300How cool to hear you owned a first generation Seville! Such a classy car. The 76 Seville was perfectly proportioned and just looked right, despite being a bit smaller than other Cadillacs of the day. My mafia uncle had a first gen Seville for a while. Wow did he buy a lot of Cadillacs.
@@richardswann5300you could tell me if a 1976 SEVILLE is the same as a 1980 Seville.! In 1980, ( I live a bit outside London), decided to go to a discotheque in London on a Saturday night. But they were PACKED. So somebody suggested we go to the famous , classy RITZ hotel/ restaurant/ bar, "Just for a drink", instead. At their prices of course, it WAS just fir a drink. But well worth eaking out the drinks, because there was hardly anyone IN their bar. The service was wonderful. We put our coats on empty seats, but a member of staff insisted on taking them, and hanging them up for us, and welcomed us like friends! And no pressure to buy drinks unless we asked for them. One of our group was a stunningly beautiful girl and I remember an equally stunning white Cadillac Seville parked outside. A memorable stylish night out!
Back in the late 70's I talked my WWII US Army Vet Dad into buying a slightly used 1976 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with the 500 cubic inch ( 8.2 liter ) V8/Turbo Hydromatic 3 speed automatic. I would love to have one again today.
You are so very fortunate! Awesome find! the year i want is a 67 this ones a 68. 67 had solid pieces of cast iron up front instead of turn signals and other minor differences. 68 was the only year for real wood interior trim though so theres that!
It's just crazy seeing a car with a class 3 Hitch on it. People used to pull their mobile homes with cars now with their trucks or SUVs with their car. My dad used to tow around a utility trailer with his 77 Ford LTD.
My 77 coupe deville came with a hitch because it has the tow package with drums in the rear and discs up front I believe. I cut it off cuz it was pretty rusted through but id love to see it tow one day 😂
A beautiful car. Some car are just not lucky in life Some owners are so careless and so lazy and pigs for their things in life. And some people like me who have vintage car and loves to keep it so nice there's nothing like having your things nicely kept to always enjoy. To this person who's cleaning that beautiful car excellent job you saved anther classical Cadillac. That car is thanking you so much. Ok my friend gorgeous work and remember keep on rocking the world with your excellent work. May God always bless you and your beautiful cars forever 🙏 from Andres j. In kissimmee florida
Info Add On. Around this time period a large local Business in Southgate mi ! Named Custom Craft ! Installed thicker Vinyl roofs with custom chrome trim and the car was then called the the Eldorado Baritz. They also installed allot of custom sun roofs in these cars. I actually worked here for about a year. The good ole days.
Clay bar before any buffing. Always. I would be extra thorough with the power washer first, then power washer with soap/foam feature, then regular power wash again. Then thorough handwashing, clay bar, and then buff. If you did what you did here with a black painted car, you’d get a ton of swirl marks. Black shows everything. Black cars will teach you the hard way the proper way to do it.
That purple you saw when that stuff was sprayed on the vehicle was iron contamination. The iron decontamination solution turns the iron contamination purple and makes it easier to wash off.
That came out ridiculously better than you'd think. Chrome looks mint, the paint is cherry. Looks like there's some red pinstripes on it. I want that car.
A friend of mine bought a 69 Dodge Charger, and he thought that it was black until he went to wash it and all the blacks started coming off and it was then that he discovered that it was bone white underneath. It hadn't been washed in over 10 years and it was simply covered in dirt. When all the dirt was washed off, it had perfect paint underneath !
I would love to own a 1970 Elddorado, they are the ones with the 400(!) Horsepower 8.2 litter that's 500 cubic inch engines! They were continually detuned after that year.
Growing up in Brooklyn NY during the 70’s that was the car to have , spend all day Sat cleaning and waxing it then shower , gel up the hair , go to disco like it was Saturday night fever , sit back doing the “gangsta lean” fond memories of a much simpler time and what a car 😊
I too grew up in Brooklyn, Mill Basin in 70-‘80’s had Coupes and an ‘85 triple black El Dorado. Will never forget going out Fridays to disco, chasing girls, drinking, dancing, driving around.
@@ejp75 Gravesend , then moved to Bensonhurst. What a time , old school neighborhoods , pork stores , bakeries and no matter where you walked on a Sunday, you could smell garlic and “sauce” 😊
