Wow, what a great first week! I added that philosophy book to my Amazon cart, LOL. I love how you talk about your process and always seem to have something that I have not seen on any other homeschooling youtubers channels. Love your videos! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the overview. I love being able to see how plans actually come together once *actual* school starts. We also use Saturdays as a school day when my husband is home during the week. I really like those binders that you showed with the flap that goes over the loose pages as well as all the divisions and folders within. Can you link those or say what they're called and where you got them? Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome! Most of our notebooks and folders are Mead Five Star. I have them linked in my Amazon store: Check out this list School & Art Supplies from themommalibrarian www.amazon.com/shop/themommalibrarian/list/2BMZ6AI9TJWJO?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_aipsflist_aipsfthemommalibrarian_9VZ78SNDBFXADX5A2PJJ_1&language=en_US Let me know if you need more specific info.
I really enjoyed this video! I found it especially helpful as my kids are getting to the point that I will have to split them when it comes to history and science. This puts me at ease knowing it’s possible to juggle everything and still get it all done. I also appreciated your thoughts on math and why you decided to separate your kids. Grouping them together was originally a time saver for you but not the best for your kids. I think it can be hard to make that choice, especially since it tends to put more work on the parent. You should absolutely be proud of yourself!!!!
Creative writing can last anywhere from 30-60 minutes depending on what we’re doing. They did everything I showed for creative writing in this video in one session. We only do creative writing on Fridays.
Great to hear that your first week was a success! I was researching 'notebooking' a while ago but didn’t find much information. Do you use a specific workbook for her? My daughter is good at math (in my opinion), but she doesn’t enjoy doing it at all! So I’m thinking about trying notebooking, too. I’d appreciate any advice or information!
For math I’ve been using some grade level notebooking books by Carson Dellosa. I have them in my Math Resources list on Amazon. amzn.to/46ZV70Y I will add notebooking to my list of videos to make!
Do you have a video on Hearth and Story Literature? We are currently using Mosdos Press and while we love the stories in it it is just a lot and I have been thinking about finding something more simple for Literature. I would love to hear more on Hearth and Story Literature.
