Over the weekend, the Israel Defense Force reported that six hostages, abducted by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023, were “brutally” murdered. Their bodies were found in a Hamas tunnel network under the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.
Among those killed was 23-year-old Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin, whose parents’ spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last month.
Both President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris released separate statements following the horrific discovery.
