Bought the system and love it. Only bummer is I didn't realise you had to buy an additional strap to hook up the shoulder pads to the vest. All in all it's a very good product
@@big_bear6530 most of their stuff from first spear are Mil/LEO sales, this one specifically is geared towards Mil/LEO , they do have stuff that we civilians can buy from them is certain plate carriers the stroundhogg is a great example and their AAC plate carrier as well
Got to say, i got the shoulder/bicep armour to replicate a swat setup for aitsoft. (Don't judge, i'm in the UK) I'm not using it with their plate carrier unfortunately as that is out of my budget especially with restoring my car and taking it to shows, unless i save up over some years to have the money to throw away. The shoulder pads i've made work with my Warrior Assault Systems carrier and spent a whole day in it sunday just gone. Honestly they are hardly noticeable. I can't say about having actual ballistic armour in as i've only got dense foam inserts. But i don't notice they are even there. Can still shoulder my rifle properly, and didn't really make any difference to ease of getting the whole thing on and off, just like putting on a jacket. I hope to get some more little bits to adapt possibly but overall am actually really happy with it.
i just shoved 1 inch titanium plates in all the little peices when i bought it and the main plates are the same as well its extremely heavy but its only purpose is for defending buildings or small areas or clearing houses
@@Metrowhite It's soft armor. Kevlar. IIIA at best, which won't stop ANY rifle rounds. Shrapnel and pistol rounds, sure, but if you expect to only be facing rifle threats and no shrapnel or pistols, I'd say leave that stuff at home. My cousin was in Iraq, and he said the only guys who didn't immediately toss all of that extra stuff were the gunners who stayed in the Humvees. Otherwise, the goal was to be fast enough that you just didn't get shot in the first place.
@@RADIOACTIVEBUNY Actually there are some new armor types that you could probably fit in there and they can (not certified, but tested with possitive results) stop up to 308.win on repetaed hits (2 or 3) would propably break your hand on first hit... but beats bleeding out.
@@RADIOACTIVEBUNY That's the best use for armor like this. People who's job doesn't require a lot of movement. Vehicle gunners, FOB watchers, the like.
@@ericolsen5592 Makes sense. I heard the marines are gonna be using FirstSpear Technology. I really hope the new vest is compatible with the MASS. Since I already have a fucked up sleep schedule, all I need to do is just sit around on my soft armor kit with FOB Watch.
