FYI for those that need even shorter shoulder straps, FS recommends the Mass Shoulder straps and the deluxe shoulder pads. Works great.

Would this work with my point blank 3a armor or does it have to be a specific type?

How does it handle shouldering a rifle/carbine? Look like it covered up a decent amount of the shoulder pocket.

I can not get this to fit with a belt, its too long to wear this at the same time as a belt, which is tough because I usually use that for a lot of gear.

Can someone measure the length of the smallest shoulder strap for me? Trying to find out the size of the one that was issued to me. I don’t know if they gave me a small, medium or large. All I know is that it is too long. Thanks

I still kinda worry someone could get close and rip off the tubes so easily, esp in like a street scuffle situation

Did your unit give you any special requirements you had to adhere to when purchasing your own plate carrier ?

This is more expensive then the Crye JPC but not the other ones form what i can think of

The rig looks awesome but im not sure about the shoulder straps and tubes. It just seems like a turn off. Im looking at the midwest armor chaos carrier. Looks almost exactly the same just with different shoulder straps

Well, you answered my question about First-Spear. I am researching PC's and Armor....I thought their PC price was with soft armor...their web site is not forthcoming with that ESSENTIAL INFORMATION. I agree with SPOKE1183, price point for this rig and a minor 3A outfit...WWAAAAAAAAAYYYY TOOOOO MUCCH $$$$$$!!!!! To top that off, I spoke with Kristin Owens, Customer Service Manager at First Spear, and she answered my query of "Why do you have purchasing restrictions on your gear?" with: "Do to liability reasons we are unable to sell armor, IR, and flotation to non active (sic) Military/Law Enforcement." They are an LLC. A disclaimer or Liability Clause is all that is necessary to defeat or diminish that from happening. Smells like it? It probably isIT!Go NAVY! Beat Army.
