i always went to that one when i lived on Pelham Grove it's one of the best! by the way i went to Chris's on Rose lane the other night and i still think it's great it's better than ever to be honest and been done up a bit with more seating inside i'm supposed to be on a diet ha ha i'll have a chippy tea once a week though

Yes I thought the fish batter looked a bit squishy. Never heard of having mushroom gravy with fish. A little disappointing, fish not a cheap meal any more either. Thank you 🙏🏽💙💕😘😘

could be that the fish was cooked in sunflower oil or a cheap oil can't beet fish and chips cooked in beefdriping

Looked nice fish. Not a fan of mushy peas. Love a curry or garlic sauce with fish.

That batter looks like the one you get in Chinese around chicken balks

Colin, congrats on the new tooth! What a beauty that tooth is! I really want fish and chips now. Might have to go in search of some over the weekend. I love all the old buildings along that street you drove on starting around 5:30. What a lovely road. Beautiful! The reaction to the mushrooms in the gravy LOL. I love mushrooms though, looks great to me! 😁 You're right though, a lot of people don't like mushrooms so they shouldn't put them in there by default. If you're getting a strange ammonia or chemical kind of smell off the fish, that means it's not fresh and starting to go off. This happened to me at a restaurant in Washington State. I'd like to try and make my own mushy peas, but I don't think we have marrowfat peas here.

Since I had covid I can taste gas on some foods and eggs with lager it's wierd .. just thought it might be the same just to let use know

Great that you have finally had your tooth fitted Colin, I hope all goes well with it. 😁 A chippy vlog- my favourite. 😋 I like the way you checked for crispness in the car, good idea. You thought that the fish could have been cooked very slightly longer and there was the mystery 'gassy' smell/taste. I wonder if the fish may have been slightly stale. It looked flaky and the batter- although thick in places was tasty you thought. The chips looked a bit scrappy to me but you both enjoyed them and you would go back to Andy's for chips. Peas not mushy. 😟 Now we come to the gravy,........Wow! 😍 Mushroom gravy! Oh I could eat several pints of that with crusty bread! 😋 I need to move to Lark Lane- just for that gravy! That mushroom gravy looks great, if you want mushroom gravy, but what on earth possessed them to bung them in and just call it gravy? 😁
