Danny has been taking your recommendations of where to find the best fish and chips and you've all been telling him to get down to Hornsea in the East Coast of Yorkshire to try their offerings!
You must admit though Donna meat does go good with the white mint sauce and salad so they got slaughtered for a good reason really as we don’t waste any.
If the dog meat tasted really nice then yeah I would support it it just depends on the flavour texture and the quality but it’s Gotta be cooked right. I noticed a lot of donna kebab shops don’t let the meat cook round on that rotating machine enough.
Danny, that is the only fish and chips that I have actually wished I was there eating. The food looks fresh, well cooked and delicious. The staff are lovely and the and the young guy on the homemade bike and the elderly couple made me laugh such a great video! x
Hands down one of the most consistent uploaders of proper entertaining content on all of RU-vid. Watched every single video for 3+ years and still always a fun watch thanks to Danny and his great editor
Sage and onion paty with chicken and mushroom pie that's a goodon . The fish looks fantastic, AND those chips are proper chunky chips . Take care and all the best. 👍👍👍
Blimey! Feeding t'old Cameraman? This MUST be good.. Hornsea is familiar to me, from my misspent youth, and this fish shop looks typical of the high standard you should expect in East Yorkshire. Chances are, that beautiful haddock fillet was swimming in the sea not so long since, and this freshness is KEY to getting that lovely moist, flaky texture. Good to see a decent quality of pie on offer too, looks like these people thoroughly deserve thier solid 10. Nice one Danny. 🌟👍
No I’m sorry that’s nowhere near 10 they do those awkward boxes and they are stingy with the chips not only that they didn’t even do receipts. Not the best looking fish I’ve ever seen if I’m being honest so it’s not even close to number one. They also overcharged by at least £7 for what he had in front of him 7 out of 10 at best
Hornsea lovely place to live and there another award winning fish and chip round corner from whiteheads called seaside think it's called something like that it's right on seafront it won national fish and chip award this year for 2024 only been open a year
I was driving down the A1 and thought, hey, let's go to Whiteheads. What's a hundred mile detour I thought? Best fish and most amazing chips ever. What a joy that place is.
It was overpriced so £19 when they were stingy with the chips are you having a laugh it’s overpriced by at least £7 pound It was only regular fish not large fish so God knows how much more it would’ve been if he had said large.
@@razwanakhan25 Have you ever been here and tried them? probably not. The fish will be fresh as Bridlington is just a few miles up the road, I'd gladly pay more if the food is good. Birmingham is in the middle of England so fish will hardly be that days catch will it? If you like your local chippy that's fair enough but don't slag off a chippy that has won the title of Britains best....
@@razwanakhan25seen you commenting on a few people’s posts, it’s crazy you think a fish and chip shop in brum, 2 hours away from any sea is going to be better than a place where you walk 5 minutes to the beach, I’ve worked at whiteheads and can say they don’t do a large fish as their regular is the same as large here in Lowestoft where I live now, it used to be £7 for fish and chips when I was there 5 years ago, a £2 increase over 5 years is a steal, you’ve definitely never tried it and your the only person commenting negative things in comparison to the 100’s of comments raving about it and yet again you don’t think a place named the best fish and chips for 3 years is somehow better than a brum fish and chips served in the same place where they probably do dona kebabs 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@@razwanakhan25- it was £19 for regular fish n chips, chicken and mushroom pie, sage and onion patties, a good amount of mushy peas, onion gravy and chip shop curry sauce. The fish n chips were £10. Tome, that’s about average
Hi Danny, i did recommended whiteheads when you went to papa's in Hull, I'm glad you made the journey to hornsea to try whiteheads. You was also lucky, and i mean really lucky with the queue on this visit, in the past I've had to queue outside the door to get served, but its always worth it.
Papas near bilton is now a Wendy's burger place from America now not been to it yet but has papas near willerby gone as well don't go that way very often
We live not far & visit hornsea regularly during the warmer months. Great to see you at this chippy! Can't go coz I'm prepping for an operation so this is just torture to watch 😂 definitely going as soon as im well enough 🎉
I hope to perhaps bump into you one day Danny as I love your videos (as do so many others). I have to confess that I’ve adopted a strategy of my own when viewing your content-I religiously have to make sure I’m sat comfortably with at least some food of my own because if I don’t then my mouth starts to water 💧 Keep up the great videos and congratulations to the Camera man for his fantastic contributions to what has easily become one of my most favourite RU-vid channels.
Always love whiteheads fish and chips. So glad you loved it. I used to live round the corner from there and would get it all the time. I’d always do consistent with their food. 10/10 for me
Use Whiteheads a lot absolutely spot on and you don't get that repeating on you like most other fish and chip shops. Love ya videos Danny and you're so nice with everyone.
Love whiteheads fish and chips, going with my sister's and aunt on sunday. Normally drive around the corner and sit and watch the sea while enjoying the great food.
Solid 10 i am more or less blown away since you always give out solid 10. It could be crap it could be good but if everybody gets maximum scores you would never know. Your score is 10 of 100 hundreds and a couple 9,5 so thank you for rating my takeaways.
WoW, that name Hornsea gives back memories, When I was studying at Hull uni, 30 years ago we were there for a big munch & picnic on sea resort. ❤❤❤❤ food was very good in that neck of the woods.
Are you going to be doing Devon or Cornwall anytime soon Danny would love to see you down this way I realise it might be a bit of a trek for you from up north but be good to see you down here soon.
Live about half an hour from Hornsea and their fish & chips are great, as are Sullivans on the seafront. If you're ever in Scotland again Danny, and with reference to one of your other subscriber's comments; there's a great fish shop in Anstruther, Fife, which I will never forget the taste of having visited as a young 9 year old on holiday there back in the early 1970's.
To be honest sullivans went down pan along time ago it's crap there's new fish and chip shop can't remember it's name round corner from whitehead on seafront blue building it won award for best fish and chip shop of year 2024
For those who talk about the boxes vs paper. Theres not that many places to sit outside and people tend to take it home or to the beach. Everything would be soggy and quality lost if it was in paper.
About time, lol As soon as I saw the thumbnail, part of me was hoping it would be that place. I live about 30 minutes away, and have regularly made trips out just to eat there. Never been disappointed, and always look forward to the next time. Is it the best? There are so many out there, but of the ones I’ve been to, it currently takes top billing.
We don’t know how much standard fish and chips cost but altogether £19 is overpriced from where I’m from and Nobody likes those stupid awkward boxes either this place is 7 out of 10 all day long
Get your self down to the cottage fish bar here in ecclesfield Sheffield s35 9xe, they do a special for £5.90 you get chips, nice size cod, choice of 3 extras small sausage, rissole, or potato scollop and a side of your choice peas, gravy etc very good value for money and lovely food and staff only opens Thursdays 11.30 till 6.00pm, Friday 11.30 till 6pm, Saturdays 11.30 till 2pm they do that well they only open 3 days and lovely food and staff give it a try. Always busy especially tea times they sell a lot of the specials the only chippy we go to in Sheffield worth waiting till the end of the week.
It’s not a bad deal but they messed it up by only putting small sausages put the big sausages there and then it’s a good deal… Still not bad though for that price
Heavenly tasty video tonight rate my takeaway fan's. 3 boxes of delights outside in beautiful sunshine. Hear the busy noise from customers. You all know where to go . Dazzling Danny and the mysterious camerman have struck lucky again. Enjoy the tasty delights fan's. Allan. Scotland. Wonderful fast forward editing. Ans and slow motion estacy. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Whiteheads is superb but the best fish and chips Iv ever had is from Beamish Museum down in the pit village, fried in beef dripping in coal fired ranges, absolutely perfect.
