Regarding safety and the risk of the anchore getting snagged on something while flying, this video does not explain that the anchor should be rigged with the chain shackled to the crown and zip tied to the shank so that if you hook something the zip tie will fail and the anchore will be pulled by the crown. Also can this set up be done on all types of anchores? Such as a Danforth/fluke?

Thank you for a really helpful video, have learned a lot from all of them. I had the “other” anchor retrieval gadget but I didn’t like the idea that my hand was next to an anchor line racing through the mechanism on its way down to the river bottom. As soon as I saw your Kwik Pull, I knew that’s what I needed. Now I can deploy my anchor safely, even from the cockpit, and get it all set before attaching the float. Genius!

Will this anchor system work on a V-Hull. I have a 2015 Kingfisher 2025 Discovery. Also, my concern when retrieving the anchor as shown on the video is snagging something at this speed when fishing in the delta. I do like the whole anchor system shown on the video.

Cool set up but, I would be worried while retrieving the anchor with this method, one might hang up on a submerged log, rock reef etc bringing the vessel to a sudden stop.

That’s a serious point, to reduce this risk you can see in the video that the anchore is rigged so that the chain is shackled at the crown and zipped tied to the shank. So that in this event it should break the zip tie and pull from the crown... hope that makes sense. Super important.

A bowline is not a good knot to tie your anchorb as it can become undone when used that way.

Ties 2 knots and stand completely in the way of the camera both times. Then proceeds to put the ball on backwards. What a circus. It's much easier to simply use a clip on stainless ring.
