I just found your page and I’m glad I did! My fishbone cactus it tall with long arms. I’m going to trim them and put them into a bigger pot. I love this idea! Thanks!

Hwy I'm brand new to plants. I have a fishbone that iv had for about a year now, but he hasnt grown at all . He's not sad looking, but hasn't grown any bigger. I recently was able to propogate a piece that got cut off from closing the window. I didn't knw what to do (thought the whole plant was going to die, lol) so I just took the piece and stuck it in some water to see what would happen, and it grew roots!!!! Now I have it planted in a Pot and it's growing another piece !!!! My question is, how do I get my other one to grow. The mother plant. I just repotted it today with new soil, however I didnt have any orchid bark so I used extra perlite in my soil, is this ok ??? And how often should I fertilize the water. I did today, but the container says every 2 weeks, but that seems like alot to me, no ???

They prefer bright indirect light, which direction is your window facing? Check my other Fishbone cactus vids for more care tips 🪴✨

👋 I appreciate your information & guidance as I'm a new grower. I was about to use "organic catus mix for succulents, palm & citrus" by Espoma. Will this be good for me, the beginner & the fishbone? Thanksss

I've had mine several years. Is there any way to stop the arial roots from getting so crazy long, besides just cutting them every other month? It akes it quite Ugly. Lol

Hi Tyler! Just found you when I got my fishbone. Since they're not like other cactus, do they like to be rootbound-ish, and do they like a deep pot or shallow. I got mine last week and haven't watered or repotted yet. Keep these awesome videos coming!

Thanks!! Yeah great question - I’m not 100 percent sure, I think somewhere in between actually - let me follow up. I don’t think they need to be root bound like a Clivia would for example

@Tyler Mossop I have my string of things in shallow terra cotta, but I dont know about the fishbone, if it's like a spider plant etc or not

I sure wish we could post pics in the comments.....I have an absolute huge one full af, I have it in a west window that gets major filtered light in a pot about 8 inches deep.....I have however had it a few years and have yet to see flowers.

Just a suggestion, the first two minutes are just rambling. Shorten the intro and get to the point might increase your views. Great content otherwise!
