I really love ours. We've a 8" stainless chimney with 8" black single wall in the house. Keeps a fire overnight and easily heats our home through the worst of winter.
I inherited my late father's rarely used 1976 Grandpa. It has a small and a large star on each door. There is a '76 cast into the large star on the right door, which I believe is the bicentennial commemorative model. All of the raised lettering and trees in the doors are painted silver, as are the air inlet dampers on the doors. I'm in the process of installing a stainless secondary burner and baffle plate on the inside the firebox, then I'll remove the rust and refinish the steel.
Love that Fisher wood stove. My dad has a Fisher wood stove that he heats his shop with. I believe his is also a ‘77 as well as it doesn’t have a ‘76 on the side or a star on the right side like the ‘78s do. Those Fishers are really cool stoves.
@@mlhrepairsllc6942 oh okay. I wasn’t sure if you installed one behind your Fisher or not. I take it that it helps circulate the heat from your Fisher to warm up your house?
I was wonder which pipe you went with in 6” to 8” on the top of stove? I was wonder if I did 6 inch stainless steel liner down my fireplace connected to the stove with a reducer would I be fine??
