I have caught my biggest bass at dead low tide on a live eel, in Gloucester. 48 inch, don't now the weight I let it go. that was back in 1990, I know someone that caught a 64 pound striper at the cut bridge , last hour of outgoing tide , Live eel. back then . I have been fishing cape Ann for over 45 years..

Nothing determines when I fish more than water temperature. Spring cold water =outgoing, summer warm water= in coming.
