For me and most people fishing is an escape from the Real world all the hate and stress but once you're on the bank, it goes away and all you can think about is what's infront of you. And who could've know that it could lead to a career ❤
Five years ago I tried to take my own life , I was addicted to drugs and alcohol and couldn't take being me anymore, I hated who I had become. No doctors, no meds can help you , only you can help yourself, you need to search inside yourself on whatever that might be. For me it was fishing , just being outdoors with nature gave me a purpose in life , it made me realise we are not here for a long time and we need to make the most of everyday and give thanks to the Almighty. I've been clean now for 4 1/2 years and I've never been happier.

I have watched you two for many years, dating back to the times where you would float fish for chub in creeks, go feeder fishing on day ticket waters and discover all the new fishing styles. Series like the first 20 pound carp, the park lake, the reservoir dairies going to fishing with rod in Canada like you showed in 2014. Starting life at nash, quitting at nash, getting in a bunch of throuble with copyright music which made you delete a bunch of videos, getting out of that and now being a partner with korda. I have loved watching the journey of you both and like Carl said, he is an introvert so am I and for me this channel has allways been a way to relax and get lost in fishing even when I wasn't on the bank myself. Carl has a very similar story to me and is the same age, so I was able to relate loads of the moment through time because of that. Hopefully someday our paths will cross in real life and I get to shake the hands of you 2. Cheers for the content and entertainment through the years boys, best regards from the Netherlands ✌
Great watch lads, honestly I don’t think you two get the recognition that you deserve. My favourite pair of anglers ever. Fishing was something I fell out of love with as a young kid when my grandad died and never found time for as I got older, due to an injury in 2019 I needed I find a hobby to get me out the house and it’s because of you two and your videos that got me back on the bank and have made so many memories with my kids. You don’t need to worry about the haters it’s the influence you put into people like myself to fall back in love with the sport. Keep up the good work.

I feel really proud of these guys and how far they’ve come.. Obviously never met them but followed them since the start and probably don’t have the right to say this because of that but they deserve every bit of success they get. Their parents must beam with pride when they see how well they have done.

Thank you guys for evrything you guys have done to my fishing. Im 14 years old now and i can see my self in your lifes. I am also being called the fish boy and the most of my friends dont have time to anything orther than gaming. I am just inyoing my hobby with my dad that got me startet with the fishing since i was 6 years old. I remember when you two first started appearing in the angling papers and thought 'I hope these lads stick at it and the industry shows them the love that they show the sport'. I won't lie and say I waited with baited breath for your next articles because at the time I was a 'serious' angler (taking it too seriously) and was only really on the lookout for hot tips from other serious anglers but having been through the mill of sponsorships and media and knowing how tenuous it can be I was glad to see that you were keeping your heads above water and seemingly going from strength to strength. Here we are many years down the road and you're both smashing it and I eagerly wait to see your ongoing adventures brought to life on film.
Lads so much respect for you. Finding something you love doing is so important. I'm very lucky that I have found something but I'm 36 and only found it in the last few years. So to people who are despairing and feel like they will never find something don't give up!
Just finished watching the video. You guys are such an inspiration and I don’t understand how people can hate. I started fishing aged 6 and now I am 16 but the past couple of years I’ve become a much much keener angler after discovering your channel. U really started my fishing obsession my dad did as well I remember at the age of 10 I really got into it so I started off with perch roach Rudd as I relaxed and waited for that float to go under then I started a few weeks before my 11th birthday I started pike fishing with in a few week I got very obsessed with the thrill taught me some great life lessons like work = success I blanked a lot for about 10 sessions to 2.5 hours until the thrill of loosing one fish that I got up to the top and spat the hook I’ll be honest I dropped the rod on the jetty and stormed off but I felt the thrill of it and wasn’t given up caught my first pike 2 months after my 11th bday and then went on catching 40+ jacks then a few months ago it happened I got my first double figure pike which was not only 10 lb it was a lovely 20lb pike sorry about how long this was but you both have inspired me and I’m thankful tight lines and good luck with you Hand book
Bloody love yas. I grew up watching all those fishing programmes in the 90s ont discovery channel. Rex hunt. Matt hayes. John Wilson. There was more but they were main 3. Used to watch them with me grandad on a Saturday morning. Now. Im 32 and i watch you with my 7 year old son on saturday mornings 😁 had our first trip out aswell recently. Love fishing but theres way more to it than that. When i was a kid i used to go with me cousins. Funnily enough last night/this morning just sorted out going fishing with a cousin for the first time in years. Just love being outdoors in nature with people who mean something to ya. Natural beings need to be in nature 😉 Anyway. Love the pair of yas. 2 genuine lads doing what they love and care about and sharing it with the world. Hope you got plenty copies of them books. I would go fishing with my grandad as a kid but once he went I didnt go for years after. It wasn't until a couple years back I got back into it and its been so therapeutic

Awesome lads, your passion for fishing is what helped me get back into it. I've now joined a local angling club and have found a wee pound that's a hard to fish but I love it as it has just native species in it. I'm also am learning support assistant and seeing your video today about how you hated school nearly made me cry as I work with teens like you almost every day and I'm thankful that I also have a job that means I can actually take one of the fishing and see the joy in his face. I'm an italian 31 yr old. I start fishing as a child but after the 18 yr, with my driving license, i start discover my nation as an angler. Fishing was with me every step that i take into my life Journey. Happy moments, sad moments, "normal" moments but always with my rods ready for dome hours of self dedication. Fishing isn't just an hobby, is a way of life. During CoVid 19, in early 2020, first time i can't go fishing. Remember the days, spents on the sofa, searching fishing videos on RU-vid while my country was hit very hard by the virus. I discover two talented UK Brothers Who mades amazing fishing video! And even if my english isn't so good (as you can see from this comment...) with the help of YT subs i discover you two. Thanks for your work, your videos and help me through the pandemy. @@olivermcqueen5654 don’t listen to them pal they are the ones who will eventually turn to stuff like walking,biking or fishing to help relieve stress I advise you to not listen to them We all have different interests and hobbies As long as you are happy and enjoying yourself that’s all that matters and maybe talk to new people in your area especially other anglers as the fishing community is full of people who are happy to help you out or they are happy to fish with you

dont listen them mate, im 37 now and been fishing since i was 4 and used to get the names "fish boy" or jokes about being gay and rods or what not but honestly just let there digs go because you'll be back out on the bank catching fish while the rest of them boys will have nothing in there life to turn too, if its seriously gettin you down maybe have a chat to a teacher or your mum or dad but keep fishing reguardless because your learning a skill that some day you'll be able to show your kid or someone elses, our fishing family is strong, keep the chin up lad 👍👍👍

I used to fish as a kid, I wasn't great at it but it got me out of the house and spending time developing independence. I gave up around the time I left school, moved onto other things, never really gave it another thought for many years. Around ten years ago, I got an urge to go again, so I bought some cheap, second-hand tackle and found a few places to go locally. I found that there were all sorts of 'new' tactics, so I started learning, started catching fish and then introduced my mate to it too; he was instantly hooked after catching a tiny perch on his first ever cast 😄 Life then got in the way again and I sold most of my tackle, keeping only a spinning rod, reel and box of lures - all tucked away in the back of the shed. A few weeks ago, one of your videos came up on my feed, and that was it. Straight out to the shed, dug out the tackle, cleaned it all up and made sure it was in full working order. I went fishing the next day, having watched loads of your lure videos. I blanked on the first day, but on the second I caught a pike of around 6-7lb, on a wet and windy river, miles from civilisation. The smile on my face was priceless, and I've been fishing many more times since then. Saw a kingfisher today, that was pretty special. So, all of that was down to you two re-igniting that interest in fishing for me (and doubtless many others). Thank you both for that.

Pretty much been following you guys and watching your videos since the early days and have always enjoyed seeing what you get up too, from the fishing to the koi, gardening ect. Pretty much always something I can relate too. I've been going fishing in one way or another since I can remember so I'm no beginner, even still just ordered the book because it looks great and I'm sure I'll still learn a few things from it!
