Wow, I love that tench! I wish I could catch one like that, but unfortunately they don't get that big over here in the Netherlands. They tend to be my main target, even though I use more general tactics which also catch me tons of bream and quite a few carp :) They're just so illusive and I find their nomadic behaviour absolutely fascinating.

My son has just started fishing and as an inexperienced female angler taking a child to day ticket lakes, we receive a degree of bank side prejudice as we have inferior and minimal equipment and sadly it makes us feel like we are not entitled or welcome to enjoy fishing! Your videos help demonstrate that anyone can enjoy angling and prove that if you start young (my son is 9! He's convinced me to do a 24hr session at our local tomorrow!) You can achieve great feats in the sport! Please keep creating content that inspires and enthuses my son as he and I both love your channel and are blown away by the quality of your content and are learning so much from your videos!!!! Thank you and I wish you all health wealth and prosperity for all of the effort you expend to entertain and educate us inexperienced angler's 🎣🐟

At this point, it really doesn't matter what content is in your videos. It's automatically muscle memory to hit that thumbs up before i hit play on your vids. Not many RU-vidrs have that privilege. You guys do. You earnt it. 👍

hello carl and alex, i always watch your videos over and over, and absolutist love your videos. i went carp fishing yesterday with my good friend and i ended up catching my very 1st common carp and my very 1st mirror carp. i did NOT for the life of me know how to hold them. is there any chance you could make a video on how to hold most/all types of pond fish, i have also learnt alot, thank you for these amazing, funny and relaxing videos

My tench are taking forever to grow. They are super slimey I watch this as Alex is releasing mushroom and food production videos. Love it, a man after my own heart. Personally I liked Hen of the Woods more than chicken of the woods. Both Blewit types are at the top of the hunt list and of course the penny bun Boletus. Arrr I love autumn

Nice tench great find with the chicken of tge woods mushroom but you can only eat them growing on specific trees because of the terp content in the tree sap like pine for exaple you defo dont wana eat chicken of the woods growing on pine... typicly indiginous to north america on maple trees and such

Had the same with a tench once while testing my first ever homemade boilies at a water while night fishing. The tench was 64cm and 10.36 lbs it was really strong and i really thought i had a small carp on doesnt matter what species of fish u get at the end of your line but at a certain point the mega size makes them super special!

Guys. The world record tench is 4,68 kg and 65 cm long. What i saw just now is much more than 5 kg and the length maybe some cm longer. I have nothing to compare with, but you guys are not 1,60 m tall, are you?

Hi Carl and Alex. What breaking strain fishing line would you recommend for a all rounder line? From small lakes to big reservoir. Not Braided mainline as many places ban it.
