Pumicestone Passage is a great place to catch Sand (Summer) Whiting. One of my favorite baits to chase them with is Bloodworms. They are great eating and relatively easy to catch.
Hi Will, mate i had my first trip up there yesterday not knowing the area very well i struggled a little ,PS only had sand worms, not live either ,dug a few yabbies did well on the bream, about six whiting no XXL SIZE but had a good day, a few showers and that bloody northely wind was a pain on the run out tide. OK Cheers mate.
Sounds like a good day out on the water, I’m glad you got amongst them! It is an extensive body of water with plenty of good areas to explore. I prefer to fish a run in with a northerly behind me anywhere north of Tripconey Bight and then a run out if it is blowing from the south. Cheers! 🎣
