Fishing for Whiting in Burpengary Creek

Located just north of Brisbane, Burpengary Creek is often overlooked as a great fishing spot with the larger Caboolture River and Pumicestone Passage systems just to the north. Join us for this early morning session where we get stuck into the Sand Whiting an hour or so each side of low tide.

WELL done Will & Dad, i have only fished for crabs in that creek , but its on my side of town might have to give it a go THANK'S Guys good video. Cheers Chris

Hi Will, many years ago there was a VW, in the water up the creek where you launch from, you could just see the top of the car, a bit before your time but Dad might have seen it you had to be a bit careful when launching your boat. Cheers mate

I remember several car bodies in the creek as a kid. I haven’t seen any in recent times but like you say it pays to be careful.

Awesome spot We walk out from dbay side chase flatty I get good size wiring at the two cross roads in the creek there on the drift

I run three different Gary Howard Rod’s for Whiting… Breambo 3W, Breambo 4W and a Yellowpatch.

Will is that a spot you have fished before ? the banks look good for whiting ,PS I have never fished The Pine Rv, either for whiting ,also lots of sand should be good.

THE Gary Howard rod you are using have you made it shorter ? just different in the reel seat,

Nope, this type of set up is popular with club fishos. It is a Fuji plate reel seat.

HI Will, i went down and saw Gary Howard , i bought 2 new rod kits for whiting in the Breambo blank but shorter in 9.ft. all finished and are great in the boat, they are usable in the boat ( i think) everybody has there own idea on whats good. PS , Have you been for another fish in BURP/ CK. ?
