Well done Dave cracking sport along with some cracking fish Just noticed on your handle I would advise that you remove the plastic covering off the handle as if it manages to get damp underneath for some reason it will rot the cork 👍🎣 Keep up the good work
Thank you. I will remove the cover from the handle. I remember 30 odd years ago buying my first trout set up a 9ft 7 half Wells handle. I still have it, and the plastic never got removed to this day. You are right. it would be a shame to do damage a great new rod...
Thanks for the comment it means a lot. Some savage takes. Really strong fighting fish and the reason catch and release waters should still be an option..
Thank you, Brian. It's only a small lake but great quality, hard fighting fish, as you can see in the video. The smaller blues had so much fight for the size... I'm looking at the airflow superstick 2 as a third rod. I've seen some good offers on the 10ft 7/8 weight .. or maybe a snowbee diamond....
@@thewookiieuk nice, my very 1st rod was an airflow delta classic. Heavy but very good. I wa sout yesterday. Was a lot windier than it was supposed to be. Blanked. Weather the day before and today much better 🙄😂I have done well when it's wild I got soaked through to my underwear before and caught 6 but yesterday was so cold. My hands were red before ei started but first outing of the year and new line to try.
Fred and Myself Fish in all weathers and have had some great days when the thinking man stays indoors.. Sinking lines and extreme cold weather can mean really blue fingers. After loosing the tip of one of my fingers last year (can be seen nail less in old videos) it hates the cold... We are out again Sunday rain or shine.. Glad your out fishing and hoping the fish gods reward you with a PB on your next trip..
Much better with the music mate, good job, but I did notice you still got plastic on handle, it will cause the cork to rot if you leave it there, but some great fish and keep the videos coming. Thanks
Took the plastic off today.. Went out and got rained on. But it's still nice to be out. Thanks for your kind words. we are still learning what you guys like and dislike. It's great to have good feedback...
Yes, it is always found it a bit overweight for a 7wt, so I moved to the Rede River, which I love. But brought the perception back out when I bought the RS2, and it casts perfectly in windy conditions with no effort at all ....
@@thewookiieuk I only got the perception line a few days ago and used it for the 1st time yesterday. Love it. Also got the gold line which has a much longer head. I had the rede river long haul mk1 that is very good aswell.
I Have the Gold in a 5wt for my Wychwood RS 9ft 6wt with a new Green Aluminium cast reel all ready to go when we get some calmer weather I'll do another rod review with this out fit. I do love a 9ft rod its all we used 35 years ago when I started...
