Awesome video I have a Flame 3000 that wouldn't turn at all and I didn't know how to get it open and lube. This seems to be almost identical. Lubed it up and now it works better than it did out of the box thank you!
As someone who just bought a torrent, and a now looking at a piscifun spinning reel to replace my current shimano (because the torrent is so good) it’s is just awesome to see a company showing what’s inside their products.. most reel companies don’t want to show off the inside of their sub 100 dollar reels because they are so crap... I would love to get one of these and tear it down ... was going to record it and upload to you tube, but you guys already have that done... you guys are an awesome company
@@stickjr.3715 get ahold of Piscifun customer service, there is a one year warranty, after sale support is outstanding. I still fish my carbon x as my main ultralight reel and has even seen trips in the salt water.
Still no reply on the video cutting off , would also like to know if they do the line roller also, was wondering if that was near the end of the video that was cut off...thank you
Not sure about the cut off, the video is 3 years old, maybe RU-vid did something. As far as the line roller you can certainly put a drop of oil in there.
I took my reel apart and greased and oil it. Something is making a clicking/ tapping noise when I reel. Sounds like something metal. Any ideas what I could’ve reassembled wrong?
Just used my Carbon X 3000 yesterday, I brought it a few days ago . When reeling in as the spool goes up an down , on the down motion I can feel something every time . Feels smooth but can feel it , not sure if that's something to worry about. When I grab the spool theres play if I go up an down , not sure if that's normal or not . Or if there supposed to be no play at all going up an down when holding on the spool half.
@@connorturba3983 I'd guess it's normal , the replacement one i received. Was the same as the one I sent back , still functions 100% . Im just use to not feeling anything at all when reeling in with or without a fish on .
That keepers job is to hold that bearing. It does not lock the nut. Its true that you won’t get your wrench on there with the keeper but i just hand tighten mine.
I have 6, 3 aren't that smooth, they catch a bit when reeling slow. I'm gonna try to lube them....if they can't be fixed they are junk IMO. you can't finesse fish with them hanging up like that. my first 2 were great, still great. then 1 of 2 on the 2nd batch has a hanger. the last 2 of 2 both get a little hitch when reeling ultra slow.
I'm having the same issue. At most I've used it 10 times. I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be having to do maintenance this fast and if that really is the case this real is absolute junk!
There are differing schools of thought on greasing spinning reels...I generally avoid greasing reel gears as it attracts dirt/sediment and can cause the reel to bind up over time. Makes cleaning the reel out a nightmare as well. I own a few of the Carbon X and Carbon X II series reels. Both are well-made and as long as they're not dunked in dirt/saltwater they should run butter smooth for many seasons. I only ever add a few drops of light-weight Trinity oil to the main reel shaft (just take off the spool) and the bearings inside the reel handle...keeps the reel running smoothly.
is it normal that my new carbkn x spinning reel 4000 is already really noisy ? it’s not even a week old . can i get a replacement or is it just the saltwater even tho i wash it after every use ?
@@Piscifun ok i’ll try and get some lub to lub it ,because it was very smooth at first but after a few days it started making noise while spinning it .
I just screwed up my 2000 trying to lube and grease it up. I kept having stuck and pausing issues when reeling line in. Could put it back together and one of my kids grabbed a spring and stretched it out. I emailed the company today seeing if they can help. I bought it less than a year ago. I hope it is under warranty.
@@eves08109 Yeah it is. The problem is I can’t work on it. It seems to fall apart more and more the more I tinker with it. Granted I don’t know what I am doing and they can only send parts. The best they could do was a discount on the reel if I order from their website, and I don’t have to send in the old reel.
My dad bought the carnivore and it won't keep any tension at all we've tried everything to get to keep the tension but he put a weight on it it goes straight to the floor
Bought mine brand new April 2021. It's now Sept 2021. Barely used and very meticulous. Worse reel I've ever owned. I've never had a reel go to junk so fast in my life. I have gander mountain reels, I have Shimano reels I have a Abu Garcia I have daiwa I've tried all the reels. Not all. But enough to know that this should be lasting longer than it did.
@@Piscifun still waiten on the return email. Fingers crossed the problem is solved. But I don't have much faith. Got the sneaking suspicion this is just going to cost me more money that I don't have. If you pay for the shipping we'll take care of it blah blah blah. Never been so disappointed in a fishing reel in my entire life!
@@stickjr.3715 our customer service will take care of you. Reels of every brand and price point can have defects or failures. That’s why we offer a 1 year warranty.
No way should all this need to be done to a reel. I just received mine haven't used might send it back. There is a reason other companies don't have videos like this.
