Fishing the Flats in Mid Feb Chasing Redfish and Trout

I've thrown many different lures at redfish on the flats. The only luck I've had is with a 3" paddletail and that's why I continue to throw it which also makes it difficult to put down and throw something different.

Great video. Really nice reds! Loved seeing Hogtown. I live in ATL and come down camping once a year…..and that’s were I go when I’m there. I miss it !!! You’re blessed to live around there.

Hi OA _ love your vids man - congrats on some beautiful fish! Sunday I spent about four hours throwing a 4 inch paddle tail and fly casting a flex crab pattern. Water was super clear and I saw about 20 to 30 fish earlier in the day (before the afternoon wind kicked up). Reds had lockjaw but there is something surreal about sight casting on those beautiful flats. Stay safe brother.

What weather app do you use?

I use The Weather Channel app. Their predictions and radar are mostly accurate. For surf and swells I mainly use Magic Seaweed and confirm with Windfinder.
