Fishing the remote socal kelp beds and tide pools in Santa Barbara Ca 

I hadn’t been to this particular spot a lot this year and i saw the conditions were going to be great for accessing the low lying tide pools and shallow kelp beds that make up a large portion of the coastal ecosystem here in Santa Barbara. These areas can be hard to access unless the tide is suer low but are worth exploring as they are home to all kinds of marine wildlife native to this area
On this day i did more exploring and scouting than actual fishing. I didn’t see too many fish but there was life everywhere. It’s such a cool and unique experience to be able to walk into the pools like this. It’s important to be careful where you step and try as best you can not to disturb the local inhabitants
