With the tarpon not doing much on the beach and the mullet starting to run, Capt.C.C.Corey decides to switch tactics and fish the St. Augustine Jetties. Also included tackle and rigging tips.
CC...YOUR THE MOST CONSTANT NORTH FLORIDA ANGLER FISHERMAN OUT THERE!! I APPRECIATE YOU EXPLANATING THE TARGETED FISH AT HAND & THEN YOUR TACKLE, THAT GIVES ME A CHANCE TO REPLICATE WHEN WE FISHING...AS ALWAYS, TIGHT LINES, PUTTING UM IN THE BOAT & KEEP IT REELING!!! THE NOTORIOUS OG DA BOSS...AKA SPEEDYGSTER...CANT WAIT TO FISH WITH YOU...😊
Good to know about the leader for the weight. I'll have to try that next time I go out instead of the slider rig I've been using. Thanks for sharing. Another great video CC!
AWESOME vid brother, very instructional, NICE JOB!!! Being from MA the Tarpon is on my BUCKETLIST. In June CC a guy caught a 70" Tarpon in RI while surf fishing. Crazy to think some stragglers make their way up here. 5 footer last year off Cape Cod, MA as well. I have SO MUCH RESPECT for their POWER, always a phenomenal fight. On another note, I've posted new content featuring throwing big native golden shiners and bluegills for bass if you wish to check it out. Good luck out there my brother!!!
Here in Florida all tarpon have to be released unless you purchase a 50 dollar kill tag. The only fishermen that use those are the ones seeking line class records! I n some countries the native tribes do catch and eat tarpon.
