I was going to ask the same thing. Also was it hot and the afternoon? My wife and I are going to rent a 16ft skiff at devils elbow tomorrow. Think of fishing the morning in creeks near crescent bridge and coming up to Milano bridge in the afternoon
I just started walking again about a month and a half ago but still use a cane. I really messed up my legs and it’s just taking me longer to get back on the water. Jim is doing great, he’s been traveling doing the camping thing across the U.S. -enjoying life. 2024 has been a struggle but dammit if we ain’t having fun one way or the other. 😁
Thanks man! Yeah those baby tarpon have to really be played out at the boat or they'll break your line or snatch your rod over when you try to grab them! They love to play possem!
Went Bass fishing with CC a couple weeks ago.. Best trip of my life! Caught the two biggest bass of my life. This guy knows exactly what he is doing. Plus he is a great guy!!
You had a great day! That gold spoon is deadly on the Reds. The camera angle on your Tarpon was awesome. That was a beautiful shot. I really enjoyed the video. Tight lines 🎣
Wow, what a beautiful Tarpon landed today Captain, great video and awesome footage as always, enjoyed the trip with you, thanks, thumbs up and greetings from Kiwiland,, Tony.
The guys that say using live bait is cheating are the exact same guys that use live scope during a tournament lol. Fish whichever way that brings joy to your day.
Hey Capt Corey, could you give us an explanation of what spoon you were using and the technique for fishing during the high tide? I was in the same area throwing a spoon but it was not first thing in the morning, it was around 2 pm during the high tide so does the temperature of the day make a difference? It was about 91 F. I'm gonna try again but in the morning but I've never fished a spoon before.
It's the Johnsons quarter oz. For that area it's best on a high out going tide early in the morning. I just use a steady retrieve that bumps the oysters now and then.
