In this video I find myself in Utah with a couple of tiny, trout-filled little creeks to choose from.

One of my favorite small creeks in Utah is very brushy but fishes well. Mostly Browns.Great video.

I feel so much better about myself after watching this video. It's good to know that the problems that I run into with similar streams are not just me. Nothing worse than having a fish get off then to add insult to injury, the line and fly gets tangled in the process.

While both streams were small, the first appeared to be a spring creek. It had none of the bank wash and erosion so noticeable in the second. But both seemed to hold plenty of fish! Very nice video - thank you for sharing it with us!

I've lived in Utah for 2/3 of my life, and never guessed all these fish lived up all these tiny creeks and streams. I am not a fly guy, but it's making me think I should try to wander up some of these creeks or streams with a tiny spinner some time.

Tough stream to navigate. I have the same net and setup, works great and have netted trout up to 20 inches.

Another rough stream, eh? It held a couple surprises!! Off..scene, but when you went after Apache, was that stream packed with craws? Every step I took 3 to 6 craws moved from under boot. Never saw so many. The Black was 80 % low on flow too. Can't help but consider how much that affects the Apache trout population. Yes, it's been on my mind for over a year. And I'm still in Az SUVrving. 😁. Thank you very much...

I’m from northern Utah right on the Idaho border if you’re in Utah again which sounds like you are frequently you should fish the stream that flows down Farmington canyon very nice rainbows for such a tiny stream right in the middle of a 3million population center and a well traveled recreation area for four wheelers etc but I swear I’ve never seen a soul fish it but myself. People look at me crazy when they see me walking with a pole on it.

Fun videos; makes me want to try Tenkara for sure. You desperately need a longer handle net since controlling those feisty little fish is so hard with the Tenkara Orvis has a couple that would work, their Nomad...long and light...or a Brodin 30".
