Fisker should have had an Ocean at the Chicago Auto Show. 300,000 people going to look at cars. Seems like an event that could get them a ton of press.

We would like 2 keyfobs, please. Keyfobs transmit and work from a reasonable distance. An NFC card will work, but it is completely passive. Card must be held extremely close to the transmitter/receiver (door handle) or kick panel under steering wheel. Which means it cannot work in your purse or pocket. Which means it's not "hands free". I would certainly accept an NFC card, but it would be kept in my wallet as an emergency backup. Now, about those key fobs . . . They need to get more reliable, and the Fisker Ocean needs a SW update to make the key fobs truly hands-free functionality of every other key fob in the auto industry. Apparently it's promised (it's even in the owner's manual), but yet to be delivered.
FSR .. Fisker. The Future is looking positive with 3 more very attractive models planned with production starting in mid 2025. The Pear.. The Ronin and the Alaska Pick-up. Hopefully the 7 seater will start in 2026. ? Thumbs up video/ comment. Thanks.
I can't believe VinFast came out of nowhere and presented a really rugged midsized truck that everyone loves! Fisker really disappointed me with the Alaska launch. Why on earth would they use such boring minivan wheels and tire on a truck is beyond me. Vinfast with their VF Wild EV truck is going to steal Fiskers spotlight. Same size, same intended use, same folding midgate, but waaay better exterior design, and they understand what truck guys want! Just the tire selection on their debut truck lets me feel confident that their truck will be capable of doing truck things. At this point, Vinfast is aiming to bring a truck to market by 2026 as per their sales rep. So Fisker has a very small margin to try and secure buyers. If Fisker keeps delaying the Alaska, beyond late 2025, they run the risk of a head on collision with Vinfast. And Vinfast has the capital to deliver, especially with their insane 10-year unlimited miles warranty🤯
Regarding your dealership discussion, is Fisker smart, or desperate ? Sales have plummeted due to the premature roll out of the vehicle. The successful exclusive EV manufacterers(Tesla and Rivian) don't need the dealer network.
Tesla didn't become profitable until they began manufacturing in China. Now competition in China is steep. Fisker focused on US and North America market where dealership strategy will make new buyers more comfortable.
I actually own 1002 since October. The writing is on the wall. Unfortunately cash will run out by '25 at the latest. Unless of course HF will give up control to another group that can actually help sort things out. You can still buy plenty of Ocean Ones even though there is a backlog.@@2023gainer
