@@bradcliff6455 Ev9 is going to be amazing. I am also looking to buy one. The price when loaded will be around $20k over a loaded Telluride. So close to 70k before any markups. Fully loaded VF9 is 61k (with no markups). I went to the santa monica store and in person, the VF8 is really sharp. Great sizing for VF8 (BMW X3/MB GLC/Audi Q5). And can get the long range VF8 for only 41k. Each model comes with dual motor AWD as standard. Vinfast benchmarked the Ioniq5 for performance. So for 41k before about 9k in incentives (fed/state), will be a great value, especially with its Pininfarina- Italian design! Very much looking forward to test driving these vehicles sometime in August.
I talked to the Vinfast employee at their roadshow at The Spectrum in Irvine last week and they said internal communication has the monthly battery lease at $110 - $150 per month for unlimited miles. Vinfast had delivered a lower segment VF E34 electric car in their home market of Vietnam.
@@mylovehandles Yes, I just found out it's eligible for tax rebate + we get $3k/5k cash vouchers, even with battery lease option, making it the most affordable full size SUV on the market.
@@Tejaces84 Yes, but it can still be considered a savings because it's not bundled with the financing of the car. So over time you actually will spend less.
Something to think about; Fisker does not have a factory nor does it manufacture its own parts, it is done by another manufacturer. Vinfast has the full backing of the Vietnamese government, owns its factory and builds the parts too. Vinfast has been building cars for many years in Asia. Vinfast models are designed by the world renowned Pininfarina of Italy.
Vinfast started in 2017. Build gas car based on old BMW tech. Fisker ocean is made by Magna Steyr of Austria. The company produces Mercedes Benz G class, Toyota Supra, BMW 5 series, Jaguar E,I , and more. they been in business since 2001. Magna Steyr has great reputation as Automotive developer and producer.
I went to reserve both. However, Fisker does not give a full refund on reservation deposits, so only put reservation for vinfast along with the imperium Skywall
The VF8 looks interesting, but I would go for the Ocean. It has a driver's instrument screen and I prefer the looks of the ocean. One concern I have with companies without a dealership network is how does one test drive their cars. I would never buy a car without driving it and determining the comfort of the seats.
Other vehicles in this segment, that I would find interesting is Arcfox alpha-T and especially Voyah Free which is coming to Europe in a few months. I'd love to see a comparison.
This is a tough call. Vinfast battery leasing for the VF-8 has been announced to be $110 per month flat-rate. How long is the Fisker battery warranty? 🤔
- Vinfast will have an interior like luxury German brands. - In the newest interview with the most famous auto influencers in the world, Vingroup's chairman showed that after 3 years of leasing the battery, consumers will have 2 options: buy the battery or continue leasing the battery. - Vf8 with eco option: ~360 horsepower (limited by software) without HUD - Vf8 with plus option: 402 horsepower with HUD - This April' NY International Autoshow: Vf8 will be available for test driving on the first floor.

The Vinfast seems positioned/priced just right; plenty speed and range without getting silly (to me) about winning drag races. But I like a screen in front of me. How about that, Vin?
I would opt for the Ocean. First, we don't know how much more for tge Vinfast larger battery, so the price gets closer to the Ocean Ultra, and other undisclosed Vinfast costs, such as the battery lease. 2nd, I won't get a car without a driver instrument cluster.
car look ok but be careful of their service there was a customer in VN complained of issue of his car then he did a video on youtube about what he not happy about it then VF company wanted take the customer to the court
Vinfast own by a multi-billion company and back by the Vietnam gov. I believe Fisker Automotive have declared bankruptcy and was brought by a China company, I might be wrong on that.
