This is my all favourite Film of all time. I watched it maybe 6 times and in the end I always cry. Then, Antony or Ahnoni or whathever, best singer of our time... that's a match!
1st time I heard this song sitting outside my girlfriends job waiting to collect her, and this came on as I'm looking towards the glass doors of the building looking at her so happy and I felt that emotion that day, I'm still with her 18 years later and 5 kids with 1 on the way but today I understand that fist of love, I should have left that day and drove off a cliff 😂😂😂😂😂 life would have been so much easier 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏼♂️😎

This video missed the point of the lyrics big time. this song is about domestic violence... Not some sort of unrequited romance... Well I suppose it's unrequited love, but not like this movie depicts, more like the type that exists in abusive relationships
I d rather say its a song about a romantic relationship where they practise BDSM. From a submissive perspective.. Antony often refrences some sort BDSM in his songs. Same does Lou Reed, who is the speaker in the beginning. But you are right.. the video is still missing the point.
Does it have to be a genre , don't worry about it, that makes it more special that you can't put it in a box to define it. Loosen up ( with all due respect to you)
Don't be so quick to judge others unless you really have been in the very same situation yourself. More compassion and empathy is what is needed in the world not more judgement that's what keeps people messed up.
