@@DiscoveringStrength For the price is not bad. Although I had similar complaints as you did with the missing notch in the middle right where I would like for incline position. Wish the seat was adjustable so I don't slide off while incline benching. Keep up the good work!

Go to Walmart and buy a pool noodle. Cut it to size and slide it over the foot bar thingie. Or, go to Home Depot and buy a length of foam pipe insulation and do the same. As for the length, I hear more people criticize the board for being too short on benches because it leaves their heads hanging when doing bench presses. Kinda hard to hold your head up AND finish a heavy lift.

I like the idea of using a pool noodle...that sounds like a pretty good hack! Yeah, I get what you're saying about the length back pad. These things come down to specific preferences and we all have very different preferences. Thanks for the suggestions!

@@DiscoveringStrength - I just ordered a Fitness Reality bench on Amazon. I was going to order the one for $ 120.90 but saw they have a newer model for $ 150.05. The newer model has an automatic adjustment that minimizes the gap as the board goes up and down. I also noted that it's 5 lbs heavier which I equate to being "better", maybe. I didn't want to spend that much but I know if I got an $ 80 or $ 100 bench then I'd be unhappy. My last bench was a real heavy duty model for $ 250 and I had to use those pool noodles to fill in the gap between the seat and upper board. That gap really annoyed me. So, for $ 20 more, now I don't have to complain about the gap anymore. Oh, the newer model also filled in that gap for setting the backboard angle. The newer model has 14 positions rather than the 12 on the older model. I don't think that's any big deal for me. I could get by with three angles, I think - flat, 45 and 90 or 80.

Rep Fitness benches are great but the shipping charges really drive the price up and I think they are some of the best benches with a reasonable price.

It seems that people love rep benches. I'm not a fan of paying for shipping...Amazon has definitely spoiled me that way! I'm sort of on the fence because on the one hand I'd like a more heavy duty bench, but on the other hand I like being able to collapse and store my bench to get it out of the way. The Fitness Reality bench is great for that.

Fitness reality 1000 vs Flybird 2020 adjustable bench - which would you buy? Both $200 in Canada.

Hmm... honestly I hadn't heard of the Fly bird 2020. I looked it up and it looks interesting. I like how it collapses for easy storage and the leg pads. I wish the fitness reality 1000 had the leg pad. However it's hard to say without having used the Flu it's bench.

Try body solid benches! Padding is top knotch. I got the fid 46 and it has a leg extension and leg curl and it's the most comfortable bench ever

I'll have to look into Body Solid. I took a look at the fid 46. It looks like a great bench. I like that it's got the leg extension/curl attachment. Are you able to collapse it to store it out of the way? I've got limited space so I'm always trying to find something space-saving.

Sure u jest sir, the fid 45 is the flag ship or body solid benches , it’s over 6 feet long and high off the ground too. For big boys imo

Wipe it down with a little bit of baby oil.. that would help the material not crack easily.. good for any synthetic leather type material..

You just Buy small piece of rubber and put some tape around it that’s what I did so amazing very comfortable for your legs

I have the 2000. Upholstery is cheap, thin as hell. Ive had 2 of them. First one was torn out the box. They sent a replacement and in 2 months it has a hole forming on the backrest and i treat it very gentle.

Bro. Drill a hole and add a nut and bolt 🔩 to the space you want the wedge. Also, my titan fitness adjustable bench $125.00 usd is legit.

Well it has definitely served it's purpose for me. It's been plenty stable for the weight I lift and it collapses to store it out of the way. I think it comes down to preferences and how you intend to use it.
