For Bulgarian Split Squats on this bench, I did indeed have a hard time doing it because it was too high for me, but I recently came up with a solution. I just raised the butt portion of the bench all the way up and locked the leg holder thing to the highest setting, and used that at the place to put my foot. After doing it, I can see why people complain about Bulgarian split squats being so hard 😅
Thanks! I don't currently but check out GamerBody.com/training and look at day 3 as that has a dumbbell workout. You can remove the bench and just do things like floor chest press, bent over row, etc.
Great update review ! I actually got this bench after watching previous review you did on it. I love it, no big complaints, and I don't regret buying it.
I know you mentioned the bench being high for hip thrusts. How does it feel for your dumbbell pressing like incline and flat press? Ok height for those? Thanks again
Have you tried the Fitness Reality 2000? I feel like that’s the best bench you can buy for under $200. I ordered mine recently because the other reviews all had nice things to say about it
I had the Fitness Reality 1000 bench which is my 2nd favorite so far. It didn't fold as well and is quite a bit bigger so that is why I use the Flybird, but a solid bench overall and cheaper.
So I bought this same bench in April, and I haven’t started using it till November, I just now noticed that it doesn’t stand on the feet when folded in half because the legs under the seat aren’t as long as the legs of the back rest, it’s shorter. I have to leave it tilted on the back rest and only then does it stand up, but ofc if bumped into it would fall forward. I would have to leave it up against a wall, when folded for storage.
You didn't get this one then. There are slightly different version of this (a red trimmed one for example) that has shorter legs on one side. This particular one in the video does stand on its feet when folded, unless they changed the design since I bough it. However, you can push it over when it is folded and standing.
Recently replaced my flat bench and my adjustable bench with with Rep Benches. I had grown attach to my Legend adjustable bench and my home made flat bench which i had just put a rep pad on it, but I wanted a more uniform look. I love the Rep benches and I dont see me replacing them. The quality is great and the price is good.
Nice, I haven't tried their benches yet as I use the IronMaster Super Bench Pro right now. I also have the newer "red-rimmed" Flybird which I like more than the all black one as it is lower to the ground, but essentially the same thing.
I've only ever held the Bowflex but never actually used them in a workout. I used to use the PowerBlocks but left them after moving from NH to CA (I now live in TX). Core dumbbells have been my favorite by far. The problem with the Bowflex is the length never changes. So you can have 5 lbs but a long handle where the Core dumbbells will shorten as you reduce weight.
You can just lay on the floor or stand depending on the exercise. This can make it harder to use your max weight/resistance against the target muscle as you need to balance as well. You can still get good at the technique of those movements and get stronger though.
Everything about that machine I don't like haha. Elbow positioning, hands flaring out, expensive...if I do it might be for why I won't be keeping it ;)
I don't believe them for a second. While maybe I'm wrong as I've never used it, based on what I've seen and read from it, and that the creator didn't use anything like it to actually get results, I don't see it producing any results. But again, maybe I'm in the wrong.
@@GamerBody even the over 1,000 positive reviews on amazon? They all cant be lieing. I might try it out ill let you know what i think. Maybe youre right.
Yeah I have seen the review count be high, the problem is the average person doesn't know how to do push-ups appropriately for the most part. You want your elbows to be closer to a 45 degree angle but this is keeping them at 90 degrees which is sketchy. I think people feel it because of the band resistance, but a pushup is a horizontal push against gravity, the bands take away from the strength you can do for better push-ups. You can see my problems with it, but if you do test it out let me know :)
If a local buy doesn't work out for me, i'll order this on Amazon, but your affiliate link doesn't seem to work. Takes me to a general Amazon page, not the product page. Would like to support by using your link, but trying to pull the trigger pretty quick. If you see this, let me know if you get your link fixed.
I am getting mine delivered 2morrow, my old bench broke 😥. Im 5'9", 185lbs and bench 225...Really hoping this bench can handle that, the Amazon description says its rated at 800lbs?
@@GamerBody Golds Gym XRS 20. The weld at the base of the adjustable back support cracked. I JB welded it prolly 10x and even tried to silver solder it but it failed Every time I went to do inclines.
I got this bench in today, setup was too easy. It's sturdy, feels solid. I went straight into my bench press starting at 155lbs for 12, then 195 for 10 and ended at 225 for a few sets of 5. The bench did not collapse, I guess the bench broke on a guy in the Amazon reviews. Good first day trial!
@@GamerBody the bench was about 7 years old, I did not buy it new. I guess I can't bad mouth it because of all the use it got but when I saw the same bench on Amazon someone had taken a pic of the same exact issue. I decided I did not want to have the same type design where that weld was.
This bench would be the best for the money if it was not as high off the floor and the back support was an inch or two longer why do they not get these dimensions right.
Right on the border of yes and no...if you are going to do exercises like hip thrust I'd say no, but for bench, shoulder press, rows, etc it will work.
Yeah it can work. If you want to go with Flybird, check out the red-trimmed one. I have moved on to the IronMaster Super Bench Pro as it has a pull-up bar attachment on it, but it is more expensive. You can see that review here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uawYAE1rYZw.html
Pretty hard to work with me tbh as I first buy the equipment I test. I've actually never sponsored any product to date as none have sparked my interest. Feel free to let me know what you are selling and I'll take a look, but no promises.
Well luckily for you they do have a shorter bench now. But sadly I just got this exact one. I'm thinking about what I need to help my girlfriend since she's 5"2 😂.
So far it has been all I need as I only have up to 80lbs dumbbells (Nuobells being the heavy brand I own). Even with my body weight, I am nowhere near the max limit.
I have their newer model. It can't stand on its own, but is now the correct seat height for me. It is the one with the red trim.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GIF6T6wWIn8.html
