Having 2 young kids is no joke. I have teens so I got passed that phase. Too bad about the VN and the timing. The new 2024 EN face looks good. If I was on the market I would get that, but wwaiting on possibly getting the Ionig 5 N to replace my wife's Rogue, we'll see :)

Ioniq 5N is nice. But it will be pricy. Around $70k USD

I saw in AUS it is around 120k! sheesh, let's see, hoping the low mileage on my current SUV will gain better trade in

I need to do a follow up. I ran this setup with -3.1 camber front and 2.5 rear

I have XXR wheels 19x9.5 in original tires size. Fit so great and get little more grip. Also I don't have too much wheel hopping.

That's nice

Is there any benefit of running wider rims when it's the stock tyre width (245)? Just wider track? I'm thinking of running 255s on a 8.5" to get more rubber on the road. Type R's are running 265 from factory 😭
@umarovracing
@umarovracing Месяц назад
There is. Tire rack has some videos proving that stretching a tire on a wider wheel leads to faster times. 255 is too wide for 8.5.

Good info on the video, do you think 265 35 18 re71rs will rub with 18x9.5 +45? Plan on having -3.2 front and -2.8 rear camber
@umarovracing
@umarovracing 9 месяцев назад
If you are on stock ride height, you might be fine. But rear is a problem. If you are lowered, you will rub.

Did your brakes started squeaking after switching the tire setup?

No, they didn't

I'm planning to run the same wheel setup on my EN. Do you think it would still clear with a 15mm drop on springs with a 35 series tire? Specifically, 265/35/18 Kenda KR20A. Currently running them on a 18x8.5, but it's not ideal. I do have camber bolts and I'm currently sitting -2.3 fnt & -2.1 rear.

+38 offset won't work. I need to make a follow up video on this. I had to put lower control arm camber bushings to get -3.1 camber in the front. Rear was maxed out at -2.8 I think.

@@umarovracing So 18x9.5 +45?

Yes. That will be better

Do you think 18x9.5+40 with 265tires will fit?
@umarovracing
@umarovracing 10 месяцев назад
I don't think so. Rear was rubbing at full compression when I had the car loaded with all my tools and a full set of wheels. This happened on the way to the track. It didn't rub on the rear at the track. It rubber a tiny little bit in the front. That's with -3 camber in the front. In the rear, if you get SPL upper arms you might be able to make it work. I would recommend going with 255. I was with 245 and it just worked

@@umarovracing I am planning to run a 265front 245rear so the rear will be fine. Do you have the same 40offset on front? I saw another guy can fit with +45 and about -3 camber. Not sure about 40tho
@umarovracing
@umarovracing 10 месяцев назад
I am running +38. You will rub likely with 265s. I am in the process of installing coilovers and they will allow me to get -4 camber. So we will see if there will be room for 265

@@umarovracing thanks a lot for the info. I decided to go with 255. I like the stock damper a lot and I think they are doing fine at track. Don’t wanna lose the adaptive damping also. Too much camber and too stiff also have an impact on my daily driving.
@umarovracing
@umarovracing 10 месяцев назад
Yeah absolutely. I have seen people do a step down from 9.5/265 to 9/255. But you can totally do 9.5/255. That's what I plan to do.
