@@acoupleofrides were you able to machine the spacer required to mount the speedo sensor? Or maybe is there a way to mount the speedo on the other side of the wheel maybe?
Great stuff. I've been searching all forums and social media platforms about this conversion ever since the Hunter launched. Definitely waiting for your next update!
Thank you so much for these details. Please update few more points in next video 1 hunter front rim gt front mai fix ho jayega correct? 2 rear rim kaunsa daale? 3 do we have any option to hv 17inchs fork rims?
1. Yes, it cam be done. Parts banane padenge 2. Rear mai meteor ka rear rim dal jayega 3. Don't change the forks, as it will get in to a lot of custom parts. Rim are avaiable in 17 inches online and even Himalayan rim can be used too. Also consider that, changing parts will have their own results. Changes in rake angles and diameter will make the bike behave very very differently. RE will be launching alloys soon enough if you can wait a bit longer.
👋 any news on the modification of Hunter front wheel to fit the Interceptor? Alternatively, can the speedo system also be taken from the Hunter and fit on the Interceptor? That will take away the need to do any mods? Your opinion 🙏 ?
Thanks for the update, My guess the height of the tyre has decreased from stock interceptor to hunter (front tyre -2 inches and rear - 0.5) this may reduce the ground clearance as well right?
Bro only alloys and tail lamp change hoge, jisko as an accessories bhi lagva sakte ho, ab 2023 gt kab tak launch hoge don’t know kyunki abhi testing phase me hai To Isley buy krlo abhi
any update when will RE launch alloy wheels for GT650? I also heard it from showroom guys recently that they are planning to bring alloy wheels for GT and test is going on. Thank You
Sir kya Hunter me 19inc ka tire lga kr dikha skte ho kya!!??? Maine Hunter ki booking ki hai and I think if aisa hota hai to future me mai kavi aisa jarur krunga
Sir please video as soon as possible bcz I want too install on my gt so that I can do long touring trust me for this I’m not going long ride though I have filled with Formula X but I’m really obsessed please make front alloy rim video plug n play
Yes all of the stuff... the brembo caliper is almost the same unit as on interceptor, it's the mounting brakes on the shockers that alight it with the disc.. That has to be exactly perfect fit..
@@acoupleofrides thanks alot sir and one More question is if i update rear tyre 140 to 150 so its best for replace because by default tyre not grip much as good so i want to replace please tell 150 is good or not and which type of tyre i use to upgrade radial or normal ..?
@@divyashverma6191 yes you can upgrade to a better rubber, like apollo apha, tvs euro grip and likes.. 150 should be a good fit.. but make sure you change both tires to similar rubber.... else it will be different compounds resulting in different grip levels...
The rear wheel fitment is from meteor so the alloy is 6.5 and both tires costed me 5300, it's the front tire that took a lot of things to be machined and made that took about 14k approx..
Why not take the abs sensor output to the speedometer...iff it has the same electrical output as the stock speed sensor (when rotated together at same speed)...then only a coupler type matters and you won't need the stock speed sensor.
Yeah but it's calculated by the ecm control and that we are not able to change or fiddle around with.. see I want to keep it simple so that most of us can apply it.. the moment we start getting in the electricals, I believe may will opt out as it will also void the warranty... but please share in case you have breakthrough there..
Continental GT and interceptor 650 are about to get updated with new alloy wheels as we can see the bikes being tested, every thing will be provided by the company very soon, no need to do Jugad and ruin the bike wheels.
Not doing any jugaad.. I prefer 17 inches wheels for a few reasons... RE will be launching 18 inches wheels... I also reckon that they might not allow old bikes to be retro fitted with them.. as the speed sensor is been deleted.. I would love to witness the launch.. honestly.. its been more than 3 years now..
It's the same.. and even hunters disc is fitting normally, without any adjustment.. which is only 20mm in over all Dia reduction... can be handled with better brake pads... but still the final check will be done post the part is been procured..
@@acoupleofrides no, what I meant is that retro fitting interceptors disk to hunters allloy would be a headache since hunter has a hubless rotoe which has mounts for the rotor away from the center of rotation while interceptor has disk mounts closer to center of rotation, the interceptors rivvets of floating disk is almost equally placed from center as compared to hunter's disk mounting points, and regarding the braking power I don't think with a 300 mm fixed disk we can't match the braking power of 320 mm brembo floating disk regardless what ever break pads we use unless we switch the two piston floating caliper with a four piston fixed caliper. and also the actual wet weight of interceptor 650 is above 220 kgs so i woudn't trust a disk break that is made for a bike that is 180is kg wet.
You are right... I can only answer this post I have the wheel in possession.. although we manually checked the discs by overlapping on top.. mounts are similar.. shouldn't be an issue.. but as I said all such question can only be answered when the fitment is being done.. and addressed... I am currently running a disc from ns 200 on the front wheel.. and it works fine with standard caliper ...
I’m not trying to offend you here or anything, love your work as well. But working fine and having same breaking performance are two different things that’s my point
By fine, I meant I haven't lost braking performance at all... but the same time I am not racing with it, hence I would be ok with a slight change too.. if i was on track then I would have acted accordingly and would have kept a detailed check on figures... that being said with setup that I mentioned above I am able to brake faster and more in control compared to bikes with 18inches. It's because the contact patch is been increased too with size up tires... I hope this give you some assurance with braking performance...
I dont know whether am going to get a response on it or not Just wondering did you guys thing of TVS ronin alloyed wheels on Royal Enfiled any models ?
Not really, we haven't considered it. We want to keep it to stock installation as much as we can. Installing a different brand means the mounts would be totally new, and we will need to make mew adjustments...
Hey Arun, although mathematically you are right but in the real world things are different. For example the alloys used in hunter are same as meteor. Both in construction and weight... on the other hand fitting MOJO wheel is quite a challenge ( unless you are master mechnic) as ABS sensor plate, location, disc brake mounts, axle all go through a change and adjustment... I have gone though that as well. You can see a video that I did for the front wheel 17inches installation in interceptor... so only if we consider the weight criteria these three are relevant. When it comes to fitment 1. Hunter 2. Dominar..
Your real world experience is invaluable! And Hunter wheel seems to be promising. Looks like we can replace the whole front end with Hunter forks, calliper, pads, rotors and wheel and like you said machine the interceptor Speedo on the wheel and use interceptor fork internals
Hello brother pls try meteor front wheel As my best knowledge didn't go to size , chk interceptor tyre radius out side and chk meteor tyre radius I think you're goal is complete Nice vdo 👍
Metero front will is 19 inches.. it might fit but we have tried because to run 19 front and 17inches rear the rear will have to rotate 1.8 times approx to get 1 rotation in front. This will cause lower pickup and stiff handling dynamics...
@@joshnjovial that's a nice one, the issue is to find a better replacement in 18inch rear, if the Hunter spoke wheels gets fitted as a plug n play means we can easily go with 150/60/17 !
Yup, a lot many people are running that setup, runs fine. Just that the rear wheel has to make more effort to do the same work. The rear has to spin 1.3 times to so 1 rotation of front wheel, there by increasing the rpm on any given speed by 500 revs.. handling get affected a bit too. But it's works fine.
The next version will be slightly expensive and will be very much like hunter in terms of fit and Finish. If you think you can't wait anymore then go for it... nay version kuch naye updates ke saath hi ayega.. product refresh toh karna hi padega..
