I saw you in a previous video talking about having a fan. The question is the fan annoying? Can you measure the noise level? The other question. Does this power supply need an ATX converter as 400w ?

Yes the 500W PSU does have a fan inside the case but I believe it's either exceptionally quiet or only powers up when the PSU is under significant load, either way I've not been able to hear it. The 500W PSU doesn't need an ATX converter like the previous 400w PSU, this one is all in one.

Hello Sir! Very nice build you have there. If you do not mind answering a few questions it would help me towards my own build. Where did you get the frame for your pc? And last but not least this 500 w power supply is what I want but where is the power coming from? I do not see a cord that comes with it to plug into the wall and I did not see it with the included items in the box. I am confused? Does this work in the USA? So many questions because of that one cord that I do not see anywhere

The frame comes from Makerbeam, see links below. The cable connection to the mains power is covered from 04:27 onwards. The PSU comes with two options for connection to mains voltage, C14 and C6 AC sockets, see the HDPlex link below for images of these. Do you have any cooling fan noise from the PSU?

I haven't detected any activity from the internal fan of the PSU, but I'm probably not stressing it enough for it to start up. The previous PSU was a 400w model and this NAS won't need to pull 500w so in this scenario the 500W PSU is totally silent.

Can you measure its efficiency?

I don't, at the moment, have the equipment to measure just how efficient this power supply is. This 500W all in one PSU replaced a 400W two part PSU. The 400W PSU was coping well with the needs of the computer, so I've no worries that the 500W will supply all the power this NAS will ever need. And the new PSU takes up less space thereby improving the airflow in the rack.
