Kind of a noob* question, but how does cutting away the frame of the engine bay effect the safety, and rigidity of the car overall? Obviously there's a limit to how much you can cut etc. and you guys plan everything else beforehand, but I guess what interests me is how you know it's safe or the "science" that behind it? I don't know bro it's 3am and I'm not a car guy so I don't know how to put it into words lmao

Cutting away that much would definitely affect some of the rigidity of the chassis, but if you continue watching the build series you’ll see that once we have the engine mounted in place, we remake the firewall. So all the structure is restored. Maybe even stronger because we welded in a thicker metal
