Thanks for reacting to this video. What makes their audition even better is that they only met that day and did next to no preparation together before filming the screentest. This was the final screentest for their parts with 3 actors auditioning for Fitz and 3 for Simmons, and the 3 Fitz's auditioned with each of the Simmons's to test for chemistry. The laughter at the end of the screentest seems to indicate that the showrunners had found the right pair! Incidentally, the showrunners loved this so much that they wrote a similar version of this scene for the first season finale.
Iain and Elizabeth are AMAZING actors, seriously. I've actually never watched their full screen test before, I just never got around to it lol! And I don't know why, because I love acting and it's such a great example of theatre, honestly. Also, the fact that it's on the same date is crazy lol! And yeah, theatre can be terrifying. I've performed my whole life, and then in middle school started doing school theatre, though I didn't do a full show until high school (due to circumstances there were two variety shows, singing and acting scenes that are unrelated besides are general theme for us, and one that had to be recorded). I used to have way worse stage fright than I do, and I still get really nervous, but my directors have always had confidence in me and that really helped. I mean, hey, I got my first lead role as a freshman. So anyway, my guess is that even though they're professionals, that was still nerve wracking xD. They killed it though! Love the reaction :)
I've done theatre, some short films....theatre is the best, being on stage is amazing, but also terrifying! Oh, and thanks for the reaction to Fitzsimmons, they and Gallavich have a special place in my heart, and Iain de Caestecker is so talented, like so so so talented! ( So is she, but Fitz. Omg!!!).
