What exactly you mean by this? I think I understand what you're saying because I'm pretty sure my Memphis Audio viv900.5 does it. I was setting. My gains a few weeks back using an oscilloscope and all speakers was disconnected from the amp but I could still somehow hear the test tone slightly.

@@niceguytim3337You mean the Bluetooth bassknobs that have constant connectivity issues? I sent my jp83 in to get the Bluetooth module repaired and when I got it back it still didn't work. Switched to a sundown salt8 and I'm much happier. The bass knobs are my biggest gripe about the JP amps.

I'm a big fan of a nice 5 channel amp that does good power. If this Amplifier is reliable, it's a great choice for most people. Great price for an amp that can do everything in 1 small package. Get 2 sets of components for the doors and run a single SA 15 in a ported box for bass, and thats an amazing stereo setup for most peoples daily driven vehicles.

Nice amp, I always been a fan of 5 channels. Idk if it is a coincidence, but I’ve noticed on these full bridge amps that from certified to uncertified to dynamic that there isn’t much increase like the Korean amps put out. The numbers are still impressive especially for the size and on some their prices.

He told someone else here, that Sundown is making it right. Which is awesome of them since it is their screw up anyways... You tell a bass head that 4 channels are 1ohm stable for 400+ Watts, you know there's going to be 6" subs hooked to the 4 channels.

Tony Damore explains how this happens and that is why he places EMI filters at the input of his amplifier as well as at the output of the amplification, a bad design or bad calculation in the filters causes this kind of noise.

I watched this video and immediately bought the amp. I swapped from a 4-channel and monoblock over to this one in order to save space. This amp is so damn noisey! It's got great power but the ground noise is brutal. I'm hoping I just got a defective unit and D4S doesn't give me a hard time about replacing it.

@@jerongoodin8869 Its odd, I've had a dozen different amps in this car and none have had any ground noise at all. This si the only one. I added ground loop isolators to my RCA cables and it eliminated 95% of the noise. Its fine for now, but I ultimately won't keep the amp. Its just not that clean. Its sounds... fine? Just not as clean as my AB amps. I needed to temporarily replace a couple of huge, power hungry amps for a short period of time and this fits the bill. Its light weight, really powerful, and super efficient. If SQ is not your main objective, this amp is awesome for the price.

300W @ 2ohm for channels 1-4...is 300W an excessive amount of power for midrange/tweets? I feel like that amount of power would shatter ear drums, no? Agree or disagree that 75W is sufficient power for (loud) door/dash speakers?

I ordered one after watching this video, I live in Australia so the wait will be several weeks but sub boxes, wiring, speakers, and general beautification of the install needs to be completed so not in a rush. My only other option was the Alpine X-A90V X-Series amp and for output along with crossover options and for basically the same price the SFB-1800.5D is a no brainer, imo. Thanks for the review Big D. One question, amp has no fuses, what is the go with that? Very different from my experience, would the fuses have saved the amp from the 1ohm mistake?

Yea not a fan of whatever protection circuitry this thing has for that kind of price. I guess I'm spoiled by pro-audio gear where part of the functional testing is to dead short the outputs at full output lol.

The protection circuit in SFB amps is a firecracker. Things are made for cheap power and there are definitely compromises made.

Big d they got a 2 channel 3,800 watt amplifier on wish I want you to test out. It's made by wudi and if it's good ima buy some in bulk because I'm opening up a budget car audio shop. Are channels 1-2 and/or 3-4 bridgeable? Still waiting for mine to arrive in the post looks to be another 3 weeks away and the Sundown Audio site doesn't show this amp in their SFB line up and can't find a manual any where for it. Thinking to run 1 DVC sub of 5th chan and the other off of channel 3-4 all at 2ohms. I bought the same subs you have in the quad setup I got 2 of the Savard Hi-Q 8" 4ohm DVC was planning on running them at 1ohm on the 5th channel but I totally could give them a bit more power going 2ohm over more channels and also benefit from better response. Anyways any feedback would be appreciated.

5 channel rated at 678 2ohm , compared to my pioneer 5 channel rated at 520 ar 2ohms my pioneer is way louder bass or maybe is bass boosted . Maybe got a bad 1.but bought 2 of these amplifier SFB-1800.5D. Now they stored in closet

The part where it blowed up, it was running 1 ohm per 4ch and 2 ohms on the sub resistive. Brutal and not recommended. I didn’t get the memo until after the oops

Dyno the latest earthquake mini D series amp, just wondering if earthquake is still good like from the 90s. I have the D1000.4 190 wrms X 2 @ 4 ohm and I blew up a 500 watts max Kicker 15" comp single coil 4 ohm sub.

@@MTGEDH naaa i'd rather buy quality now and never have to worry about it breaking when i need it most. my Fosgates are tough and are nearly 10 years old and still cranking... not my fault you're broke and can't afford a real amp. see I work and Own an IT/IS company so spending money is of little concern to me

ok i have this same amp with factory speakers then i have an 8inch sundown subs the bass dont hit hard enough even when i use the bass knob im using the factory radio my questions is if i boost the bass from the amp with it mess with the mids an highs i also have LC7I AUDIO CONTROL WHAT SHOULD I DO AN CAN I HOOK UP AN OTHER SUB ALONG WITH THE 2 SUBS I HAVE NOW

How would I wire up High SPL Single 12" @ 4-Ohm Enclosure that incorporates 4 High SPL 6.5" Midrange Wired to 8-Ohm, 4 High SPL Tweeters wired to 4-Ohm, it only has 3 input 1 for highs, 1 for mids. and 1 for sub. (WEIGHT: 78 lbs.)

i just hooked up this amp and highs sound good but the sub channel just isn't putting out much power, 4 gauge power and ground and 10 inch 2 ohm sub. deck is a lower level soundstream, can't seem to get the power out of it.

Could you do a Audio Apex CAB-22 I was lucky enough to catch the pre order sale on it and I have personally been blown away by the performance, sound quality, and power output of this amp (which I paid $200 for then after shipping and yada-yada was $237) and if you ask me.....WAY UNDERPRICED! *For example it's rated 1600watts rms @ 2ohms and so far my highest measured output was 1737watts @ 2ohms and the lowest I've seen it out out was 1594 watts rms sundown unofficials youtube did a dyno test buy you go more in depth then anyone else and I feel you'll like the amp soooo PLEASE!!!!! LOL

I don't understand the memo. What's the RMS rating channels 1 through 4 going into four speakers at four ohms each? Four 6.5 speakers for example. 200 x 4? At 4 ohms? 88 x4 at 4 ohms?

Can someone explain to me, because I don’t deal with 5 channels much because they’ve never been that “great”. If all the 4 channel sfb’s are capable of 1 ohm on each channel, for educational reasons for myself, why can’t this do it? And what would have to be changed on this to have that happen?
