Ivan is a true talent for sure. You can tell they don't need the "studio magic" that many bands do. His voice is awesome, and the acoustic/live songs show that he really CAN sing.
Bigbrother171 just go to one of the many youtube to mp3 sites, i mean NO i dont advocate stealing music, BUT if something CANT be bought, i say no harm no foul LOL
Ivan just letting the talentless modern pop shit how to do it without the recording studios help. Him, Corey Taylor and Rob Flynn do shit with their voices which is another level to anyone in my opinion. Metal/Rock musicians the most talented out there, all the way back to The Who. It's never changed we just get forgotten
I remember seeing them in concert 2 yrs ago.. & this was the last song of their set..& I remember getting chills when Ivan said "Its over noow" and walked off the stage...it was AMAZINGGG!!!!
I seen five Finger three times live now the first time by accident..they rock! Seriously Ian really puts effort into trying to make the crowd have a good time..there is something about the honesty in his lyrics that make his songs rock.
I am still getting people who don't know his work on Motograter, which made the band's1 album he was on, amazing, not to mention his absolutely god-like work on the Ghost Machine album 'Hypersensitive'. Ivan's voice should be saved in a time capsule and stored for many to hear 100 years from now, along with Kurt Cobain and Otep!
this has got to be the best example of musical transformation i have ever heard. Ffdp is the only group i've heard take a song that heavy and turn it into something like this. Purely amazing
this band i saw in birmingham with korn and hellyea and I was going through some bad times and hadn't cried in a year and to hear them sing is to feel like a force rip through your soul and awaken the dead parts of your spirit... it was like my revival... great band
Saw then, met them, got my favorite rasta hat signed by them. Great fucking show!!! Hes a cool guy and even brought the next generation of metal and rock heads upstage with him. I would go again any day!
they always sing about rly deep sftuff, stuff that you can relate to and in my opinion the acustic just puts a rly soulful feel to it- so i totaly agree with you Qnabe
thanks for recording this, the acoustic really put me in a better mood,iv had a pretty shitty year this year, music and pot are the only things that is keeping me alive
Same here, I was at a Family Values tour in 2006, if I remember correctly, in July, and they were second stage, and all of their songs I moshed to, and i'm a big guy too, like, fat, and I got tossed around, but this band was the first one I moshed to, which is awesome, but I wanted to mosh with KoRn(Main stage), but once I heard these guys, I immediately fell in love, and so has my brother.
I can so relate to this song! your my perfect disease and I'm better off without you and your better off alone, but yet we can't stay away from each other, but I will never let anyone ever make me feel like dying again then living in misery ever again!!!
I missed getting to see them at the Tradesmart here in Colorado a couple of weeks ago. I don't know if they were playing there or not. Would have just liked to of gotten to see them.
These guys are amazing in concert! They put on a hell of a show and they are not one of those bands that sound really good on cd and then blow live. They are even better live, and the mosh pits.........perfect
i really like how he doesn't include the screaming parts from the electric version, like some other bands try to do. I think acoustic sounds better without the screams
thank you so much for uploading this video, this version of the song is so fucking epic! I can't stop pressing the repeat-button over and over and over... awesome!
Its so great to see a really solid heavy band with a really solid and heavy song. Its even better to see them break it down softly... Still dark as all hell though. Just the way I like it :)
