I returned to Warhammer and the miniature building and painting hobby in about October 2019. In this video, I talk through five lessons I've learned since returning.

Thank you for this. Ive been in this hobby for about 5 years now and sometimes I go for a week or two where I don't do anything related and I feel down on myself because I think "oh there's soo many unfinished projects to do" but I just don't feel creative those days or weeks and I think you've just helped me realize - that's okay. It's okay to take breaks and come back when you're feeling better.

I'm glad to hear this video helped! It can be easy enough to lose perspective sometimes. It's weird that we can feel guilty about something that we basically do for fun. Good luck with your hobbying and not-hobbying alike

@@manusharte1160 Too many too many. I'm trying to keep my focus on the blood bowl stadium and lizard mansion at the moment. Key word being "try" there. There's this community setting called Nyo'munda that's really appealing to me at the moment but I'm trying to resist!

Scale creep gets to me as well. It's a big reason why I keep starting new armies. Hell I'm just starting my third army in like a year. Please send help

Oh man it's a daily struggle to restrain myself! There are just so many cool minis out there I wish I could have a bunch of different armies (but I have not even played a game). I'd be super keen on getting a few different kill teams or skirmish warbands but I'm trying to stay away from new projects this year (with mixed results)

@@TheGoodMood Kill Team, Warcry, and Mordheim are awesome for bite sized projects, but it's a double edged sword. "If they don't take a long time, I can do a bunch of them!" Then you have 5 or 6 projects laying around... It's definitely a slippery slope lmao

Mr Dude. I know you dont play Underworlds but have you seen the Seraphon warband for it? I sooooooo want it

Oh hell yes I want it too! I was sad its release was delayed from February but hopefully it will be out this month. That said, I really like the design direction for the blood bowl skinks which are bit more cartoony than the underworlds ones, so it'll be interesting to see what direction the designs continue to have for future releases
