Yeah I've been surprised too. It's definitely not very practical (I usually drop a rank when maining this opener) but it's just so fun to use. The biggest benefit is not having to rely on clean garbage for big spikes. And the residue is perfect to continue after the TST/TSD (as opposed to a 6 res TSD setup for example) so it combos easily into the garbage well if you have one. I found out about the setup from fesh's now unlisted short tutorial (linked in the description) and also haven't really found much content about it. Hope to see it more in videos and in-game.

I think the growing pains of c4w being the most dominant option and suddenly becoming off meta made this weird soup of people not wanting to touch it both in a "4wide is lame!!" and "4wide doesn't feel good anymore" bias i reeeally did like watching how the TSTs were solved though that was one aspect I've always wanted to see fleshed out 4w->btb for da win!!

Good tip about Luna Special, I'll start using that after failed PCO starts :) Also you're right, any decent blitz opener is a great counter to these slow 4-wide builds

Thanks! You can use skins with Tetrio Plus, it's a free 3rd party mod. The skin's "mello" by qwirky: you.have.fail/ed/at/tetrioplus/#skin-qwirky-mello If you want to change the color it should be doable with some image editing software because the skin is basically just .png files

Yeah Okey-Cannon would also work for that but in my experience it's best to just build the 4-wide as high as possible, before any garbage comes in. I guess the TSD could be used to cancel cheese, but that's more of an edge case. If you're feeling lucky you can also keep the DT and use the whole thing in a combo, but the rng needed for a L overhang + TT queue is very rough.

@@LeCubeLeBlock yeah Ive gotten tons of success with okey cannon, but even with a 10 combo multiplier into TST, my highest was only somewhere 50 spike. My guess is that I wasn’t fully committed to the c4w route. The fact that you even got multiple 50+ spikes in 1 single video montage is insane. As someone who know how much planning, luck and effort it takes to make TST C4W work, hats off to you :)

@@joshinon6980 Yeah, the high combos really pay off with the TST. It's cool that you're using it too! So far I've only seen one other person use 4-wide to TST in my TL matches. And thanks! I'm glad someone understands what a grind it is :D Good luck with your spikes!

The SFX is a mix from different packs found from you.have.fail/ed/at/tetrioplus/ Mostly using effects from "The Emerald Palace SFX", "Rain World SFX Pack" and "Yotipo's SE". So unfortunately I don't have a complete pack to share but with some tinkering you can make probably make it work how you'd like to
