This interview was used few days ago in an official exam of English (intermediate level) in Spain... In my opinion this level is not intermediate! What do you think about it? I would like to recieve opinions from native English people. Thank you!
As a native English teacher, having taught EFL for over 35 years in many parts of the world, I have to say that I totally agree with the above comment. There is no way this is B1 level material. At present I run a language school in Spain and I wouldn't expect my B1 students to be able to comprehend this material. By the way, have you seen the reading comprehension paper for this exam? It is more like a C1 level text.
Sounds more like C2 material. At C2 (advanced) a person has to have the level of a cultured native speaker in whatever language they are learning. They must understand slang and humour and day to day interaction as well as a broad and advanced vocabulary of course. This is a good example of C1/C2 material.
Quite a medium level but Ricky does throw in a couple of high level words such as caveat and juxtaposition.. ..... The themes of what is offensive, philosophy and weltanshauung and high level. Soy yo hablo un poco Espanol xx
How dare you objectify a person into a sex object!!!! I am now going to cry outrageous tears and justify MY socially manufactured anger by sending a pointless series of Tweets (I'm not on Twitter btw but hey).....
