I just bought the ZV1 at the end of last year for Black Friday and got a really good deal. I was second guessing my purchase when I heard a new one was coming and I was even anticipating selling my ZV1. I was actually relieved to see that it wasn’t an upgrade. I love my ZV1. I use it like a camcorder to record and document life, and I’m about to start a talking head style RU-vid with it. I also use it as a small pocket camera for photos. For my needs, it’s great.
Yea I even have a seafrog underwater housing for scuba diving with my zv1 as well. So knowing that it's not as good means I don't have to spend more money lol
So agree with you, buy the original and if you need a wider lens just get a screw on wide angle adapter. Missed opportunity to introduce things like body IS, dual gain sensor, 10bit or improve the body layout with extra control dials/buttons
Appreciate the candid comments in this video. RU-vidrs are always soo eager to recommend each new camera or lens. I've made purchases based on recommendation here only to feel underwhelmed when I got it and tested it myself.
@@ToasterVentura Well if I’m getting one of these cameras, then it’s probably gonna be for vlogging. The wide lens on the 1F makes more sense. You can get that massive wide angle adapter, but it’s just another thing to carry around and then the camera isn’t pocketable anymore. I also like how the lens doesn’t come out on the ZV1F. It makes turning on the camera faster. But I still prob won’t buy any of these cameras since the iPhone 13 Pro main camera is almost as good.
As soon smartphones gonna have batter autofocus and manuaI mode, these small cameras will not have market or very very less market.. and i think smartphone camera's hardware software getting develop so fast.. these camera monopoly will go away very soon..and i want that monoply to go away as they are much much exp.. offcurse they will have certain people who will be looking for cameras but atleast they will he little less exp
