66 going on 67 you have convinced me to buy a 2024 Spyder RT Limited. Lost my wife almost 5 years ago from cancer we use to see people on Can-Am trikes and thought when we retired it would be great to ride and see the sites. Live in upstate NY rural area looking forward to traveling the small backroads on the Spyder. Thank you for your videos showing life goes on.
I like the crowds for about one day, then I have to go! The same thing with the vendors. I like looking for things that make my riding more comfortable and safer, but only for a couple hours. Spot on with the foot draggers! I like looking at the different brands of bike. I love meeting people and finding out where they live and how their ride was coming to the rallies. The most fun we had at a rally was Sturgis. We went up the week before opening day. Most of the vender were set up, the crowds were small. The riding up there is awesome. We left the day after the "Official Opening Day".
We are going to the Deadwood Rally in July next. We will trailer our Spyders from south of Houston and then ride when in the Black Hills. Spearfish Canyon is my favorite ride. When going to rallies, we run into lots of folks we’ve seen at other rallies which is nice. And I love to see the new products that the vendors bring and see how others customize their bikes. Coach Bob, if you are ever in the Houston area, please come visit the Texas Gulf Coast Trike Club. 😃
I like going because I get to run into a lot of my old friends And meet some new friends. Also you get to meet people that tell you great stories. That's why I like to go to Daytona.
Chaos does not sound exciting to me at all lol but I can see how it could be positive and negative! I like how you did this video and did the loves and hates like the opposite sides of each thing...
Coach Bob I think you nailed it on the plus and minus of bike week. I was over one day this year at Destination and spent some time with Donnie who has a channel on RG3,s. I have a Spyder and a Freewheeler and Donnie works with the faring exchange company and also lives in Ocala. It was great to catch up with him for a while. And enjoy the chaos there the rest of the time. Crazy, crazy, crazy. Hope to see you and Coach Vic in Deland next fall and spend a few minutes catching up. Dave is a friend from one of the riding clubs here in Marion County so get to see him and the Misses on occasion. Nice family. Stay well and have a great.spring and summer. Ray & Linda, Ocala
I keep saying one day I will go to Daytona for bike week. The experience looks intoxicating. Several years ago there was a camera mounted on a building that would have a live feed of Main Street day and night. I'm sure the cost was to high to keep streaming.
Thanks for the content!! Question I've been wanting to ask you, how much do you think riding a Spyder would prepare you for riding a two-wheel motorcycle (if at all)? Thinking of jumping into the two wheeled world and curious how the transition will be.
That is so cool when folks can think like that and build things like that. I always admired my dad for his ability to fix anything and to build anything. Mechanical engineer mind!
What? You chatty? I can't believe that lol I don't like braggy people myself. I don't like huge crowds so I prefer smaller rallies and I've only been to three so far
I love rallies because of the great people you meet. Like you say @CoachBob3, 99% of those people are the nicest people you will ever meet regardless of what they look like. I don't love the insanity and the stupid decisions people make. Like you say, I love all the bikes too! All kinds. I don't love pretenders. Be honest, ride at your level, don't show off, and care about the people around you. Have fun! What I love most about rallies is getting a chance to talk with people about Jesus Christ when their hearts are open to it and praying with them 😀 🙏
