Great review. Currently in a Pro R and wonder how the in-cab noise is? Old X3 had a a lot of clutch noise, especially for the driver. Pro R in noisy inside as well.
Really good review and I'm super jealous! I do think you lost a lot of credibility when you called the stock cage "good and stout" after tapping it with your ring and it sounds like the stock cage on an X3 which is junk...
Well, I’ve been watching this video and you just made my decision. Thank you. I’m gonna go buy a maverick r I just gotta make room because I have an extra three also commander. I’m running out of room, but I got to get the Maverick R
I really like the machine, but for me, the front suspension has to be recycled and returned to normal. Stock tires rubbing on suspension components is a huge hell no. The rear suspension bottoms out very easily as well.
You guys have stepped it up. Very good reviews. Lets drop the "hate" Hate is too emotional and we aren't that emotional. We're MEN! Lets go with 5 things we don't like. GET RID OF THE SUICIDE DOORS, they make getting in and out awkward.
@@waynejewell-sw8qg Not in the slightest. I drive an 8000# diesel pickup and a 50 year old Mustang Mach One. The word "hate" is kind of extreme for describing machines, So is "love" How about things I like and don't like?
Please tell me (6:40) that the gear selector, D/R or High/Low will lock out a selection change if appropriate parameters are not met? Example....going 60mph and tap that selector into reverse or going the same 60 mph and tap it into low?
Yes. Someone else covered it. If you’re driving fast you can’t swap to low unless you are going slow enough. I don’t know what that speed cap it though
Price is insane. You can buy a brand new VW GTI S for the same price. Think of everything that comes in a car. None of that is in a stripped down basket of plastic UTV. I don’t get it. Profit margins must be about 80%.
GTI benefits from economies of scale. Large manufacturing quantities justify extensive tooling such that there's probably less assembly manhours in a GTI than in the Can Am. This flows all the way down to the component/subsystem level.
I’m not impressed. Yes it’s 240hp, but they also added 500lbs! I don’t think 40hp is a wash for 500lbs. The only thing that seems to be an upgrade is the transmission. All running gear is the same. I’m sure the axles, a arms, differential will break just as easy as usual. The engine cooling is huge and is in the way for any accessories you would need to put there. So besides all these RU-vidrs that are sucking butt, I think it’s a fail.
The front diff is completely different and much larger as well as the steering rack. The arms are WAY bigger. I don’t know about the axles but I can’t imagine they are the same as the x3. How much weight does a x3 gain by the time you add gussets and arms and cage it needs to be safe to run at these speeds?
As an ADV motorcycle rider I hope people buying these are keeping in mind that machines like this that are ripping across public lands at 90mph are adding to the push to shut down public lands from motorized vehicles. Please drive responsibly.
As a fellow ADV rider who just bought one of these as well, it doesn’t matter. The enviro-nazis have far too much pull to make a situation like you described to be a large contribution to their ultimate goal. Hell, even mountain bikers are in danger. But yes, ride responsibly. For now. It’ll all be closed in 15 years.
